IIRC the semi finals in 2021 both had a break after #6 and #12, even though there were only 16 and 17 participants, respectively.

Urmmm. It really doesn't help that Lum!x has his microphone's volume up when he is hyping up the crowd and then when Pia is singing, you can tell the stark difference. And also at the beginning, you can tell Pia is trying to speak into the mic but she realize no sound is coming out. So I am pretty sure she is basically lip-syncing or her microphone's volume is way too low.

I don't know the technical side of things on who regulate the volumes of the microphone and why they decide to make such difference in their microphones' volume. But it is what it is - her live vocals were barely audible (if she did ever attempt the song live). You can argue that it's a "poor" recording since it's through a phone camera. I shall wait for weeweeblogs' videos (since they are closest to a professional film video) and see if we can hear her live vocals.

Halo” by LUM!X feat. Pia Maria. chart sensation on iTunes. The ESC hit is currently the best-selling song in Austria. That's exciting because most of our Eurovision songs didn't even make it into the charts before the ESC. Even Conchita, who won in Copenhagen in 2014 with "Rise Like A Phoenix", only succeeded after triumphing at the ESC in the Austria Top 40 Charts. But then at least in first place.

I watched Pia Maria and LUM!X perform at the London Pre Party. I am disappointed. I say this because I had high expectations. Many fans joke about Brooke saying she doesn't have a good voice but... Pia Maria's voice is much worse. Also, "Halo", without a full sound and party-like staging, is a flat tune. I honestly consider We Are Domi undervalued in the Dance mini-challenge. I repeat, in Turin if a staging full of energy and with a captivating choreography and a full sound is created that can exploit the skills of LUM!X (the real talent of the duo) then Austria could also reach the upper floors of the ranking. Otherwise... there will be a surprise NQ.

For me she didn't lip-sync. She sang badly. If he had sung in playback the result would have been good (although it can negatively affect a poor sound system or the artist who cannot keep the sync). "Halo" is a song with a lot of potential but on the Turin stage it needs a lot of attention. Austria could have a good success or a surprise failure.
