Let me be your halo
'Cause we've been through hell and back in only one night
Let me be your halo
'Cause heaven can't wait for us to finish the fight

We don't need a Hercules to bring a man down to his knees
No more apologies
Philosophers like Socrates define yourself, think on your feet
Go sharpen your teeth

We can be CEO
Yeah, you already know
Yeah, we can be the boss
Fly higher than the Gods
We're not under control
And no, no, not anymore
If you feel me, then put your hands up

Let me be your halo
'Cause we've been through hell and back in only one night
Let me be your halo
'Cause heaven can't wait for us to finish the fight

And I'm stronger than angels
I'm fearless in danger
And I will bring dark to the light
Let me be your halo
'Cause we've been through hell and back in only one night

I think I had the right idea
Beautiful, something to feel
For a hundred years
We're gonna be written among the stars
Posing so we're hustling young queens

We can be CEO
Yeah, you already know
Yeah, we can be the boss
Fly higher than the Gods
We're not under control
And no, no, not anymore
If you feel me, then put your hands up

Let me be your halo
'Cause we've been through hell and back in only one night
Let me be your halo
'Cause heaven can't wait for us to finish the fight

And I'm stronger than angels
I'm fearless in danger
And I will bring dark to the light
Let me be your halo
'Cause we've been through hell and back in only one night

La-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la

Don't need no
La-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la

Let me be your halo
'Cause we've been through hell and back in only one night
Let me be your halo
'Cause heaven can't wait for us to finish the fight

And I'm stronger than angels
I'm fearless in danger
And I will bring dark to the light
Let me be your halo
'Cause we've been through hell and back in only one night

Still 12 days left to submit songs for 2022 to ORF. In my opinion these artists should be on Eberhard Forchers list (in case he still is in charge).

Take my Hand sounds like a proper ESC song. Lou Asril would be perfect for Eurovision. He has a very special voice, he is a great song writer and I also like his visual concepts. Big chance for an international carreer.

Actually Lou Asril's songs have grown so much on me during the past days... I didn't know him at all before. It would be so nice to see him at Eurovision one day. He even collaborated witch Conchita so nothing is impossible!

The Austrian Music Awards gave a good overview of how rich the austrian music scene is. One of the less known artists who appeared at the show was CHRISTL. She took part at The Voice 2018 and recently published some quite good songs.

As a reaction to the Austrian Music Awards Eberhard Forcher (who obviously still is ESC-scout for ORF) stated that the overall interest to take part at the ESC was higher than in recent years. two of the nominees of the Austrian Music Award made it into the first round of the selection. That inspired me to make a list of who that could be. I am quite sure it must be two if these five acts (in order of probability/ 1. most probable):

1. King and Potter (the actual winner of the 2019 selection)

2. Florence Arman (wow)

3. Lou Asril (my number one)

4. AVEC ( I guess not interested)

5. My ugly clementine (would be great!)

I remember having read somewhere that PAENDA was chosen after King & Potter declined the offer for unknown reasons. If that is correct, maybe this time they could accept.

My Ugly Clementine is just perfect, would love to see a female band in a contest like ESC and I honestly think Austria could stood out for the first time since Conchita

As I said it before, I've become quite a Lou April fan. "Divine Goldmine" would be a safe jury vote magnet, something like "Friek" could work with both juries and televoters. This even feels like a hypothetical top 5 material to me with a good staging. So this would be the most promising package for me - the voice, the song quality and the charisma is definitely there. He recently collaborated with Conchita so I guess you really shouldn't count him out for Eurovision one day...

King & Potter can be quite nice but they would definitely need help with writing a good song...

That's all lounge music. Everyone would be upset about the terrible resullt they would deliver, but no one would be compelled to vote for it. It's all black smoke.

I would go with Bilderbuch, Hyäne Fischer or Symphonix.

Bilderbuch and Hyäne Fischer both are not very likely. I think that Symphonix dont submit songs to ORF first hand, they go for other countries first. Maybe they even take a break, ususally they communicate their participation in song writing camps.

In 2003, Austria would have looked like the favourite to win if Ireland would have used their televotes instead of back up jury votes. Austria voted 2nd, Ireland 3rd, and yet Austria would have led with 22 points and would have maintained that lead for many rounds of voting.

Ireland's back up jury was used, because their televote was not transmitted on time, which caused some controversy and tensions due to the close race between Turkey, Belgium and Russia.

The result was not officially corrected unlike in 2019. I am still a bit sad we got robbed of a moment because back then we haven't lead the scoreboard since 1989 which I didnt' see.

Ireland's jury vote was:

1 point for Greece
2 points for Portugal
3 points for Malta
4 points for Germany
5 points for The Netherlands
6 points for Croatia
7 points for Iceland
8 points for Estonia
10 points for Belgium
12 points for Norway

However the televote was as follows:

1 point for Estonia -7
2 points for Belgium -8
3 points for The Netherlands -2
4 points for Romania +4
5 points for Latvia +5
6 points for Germany +2
7 points for Sweden +7
8 points for Norway -4
10 points for Iceland +3
12 points for Austria +12

Croatia -6
Malta -3
Portugal -2
Greece -1

The shitty song from Sweden would have still blocked us from Top 5 finish. The race between 4th and 6th was equally close.

1. Turkey 167
2. Russia 164 +1
3. Belgium 157 -1
4. Norway 119
5. Sweden 114
6. Austria 113
7. Poland 90
8. Iceland 84
9. Spain 81
10. Romania 77
11. Germany 55 +1
12. Ireland 53 -1
13. Netherlands 43
14. Ukraine 30
15. Bosnia-Herzegovina 27 +1
16. Greece 24 +1
17. Croatia 23 -2
18. France 19
19. Israel 17
20. Cyprus 15
21. Portugal 11+1
22. Latvia 10 +2
23. Estonia 7 -2
23. Slovenia 7
25. Malta 1
26. United Kingdom 0

I wish Paenda can represent Austria again...which better song ofcourse
LImits was not the first choice for Paenda. She wanted to compete with an uptempo song but it was too similar to Netta's style.

Paenda deserves a second chance in ESC, and so does Sabine Stieger from Global Kryner (:at: 2005), who's now a solo singer.
