Thank you. I like that more than Das Meer, but Halo is if course the best of them. Das Meer has a lack of emotion for me. It's a very cold Meer.
There is critsism of the lyrics of Halo. But I don't get the lyrics of Das Meer too. At Halo I'm cautious, because that could be youth slang. I always remember a movie with Alicia Silverstone when she said in the dubbed version "gib Schuh" instead of "move on".

Since there are no live versions of Halo to be found (or they are very well hidden), I feel that this is one of the entries with the biggest potential of flopping. I like the song as it is in the studio version, but her vocals are autotuned, and these uptempo songs tend to crumble on stage mainly because the singers are not good enough.

Budget is not everything but it can't hurt. I was told that Warner Music will contribute to the budget of ORF for the staging. So at least there will be more money than in previous years. But nothing is more valuable than a good idea.

In recent years there have always been rumors that ORF does not want to win under any circumstances, but only wants to get into the final. This became legendary in 2018 when Cesar Sampson led the jury vote and the alarm bells went off at the ORF executive floor.
ORF really wants to win this time. It doesn't matter what the ESC 2023 costs. ORF would receive broad financial support from Austria's ailing city tourism industry.

In 2015 the City of Vienna contributed 11,7 mio € to the budget of ORF for the ESC. The city earned €27,8 million via the so-called indirect profitability.
