Okay so hearing your pros and cons, based on your internal information and without knowing the songs myself I'd definitely prefer LUM!X. But it also depends on the female singer he is collaborating with.

Actually we had some quite/ very good staging between 2014 and 2019 so I think we could work out how to staging should look for the LUM!X song...

the singer... well.... she has a great voice but she is a total newcomer and has never performed on a (big?) stage from what i've heard.

to be honest: i think (and this is not based on any facts, just my personal feeling) the decision takes so long because they actually want to find a way to make lumix work

I want something joyful and uplifting. The times are depressing enough. So, I guess I'm slightly more leaning towards LUMIX from what I read here. All the speculations about if a south-tyrolian duo would be interesting to send to Italy and alike are things you need in promotion once the act is chosen, not the foundation of a decision to be made imho.

among other things i think it's the singer, don't know if they heard her sing live yet or if they at least have a vision how she could perform on stage that big.

I'd rather have LUM!X with a banger that might be chaoitcally bad on stage than something artsy from Austria, it really would be a nice change of pace considering what they have been sending the last couple of years. And maybe they need a more accessible song since they're in Semi 1 with a lot of countries that usually send strong entries.

If semi 1 is stronger (which I don't agree with since both semis are quite even/it's is equally divided among the "most successful countries in the last 5 years"), won't it be better to submit a song which is more artsy-fartsy, compelling and different to the rest?

Of course, it's needs to be accessible.. but so was Shum and Russian Woman.

no i don't hear that. i loved sebi and this does not give me a similar feeling. it's not as meditative and faster

Thats probably gonna be the first time that the guys in charge at ORF will not follow Eberhard Forchers advice (Anger). And that would be a good decision. I dont understand how they could not go for LUM!X if the two songs are equally good. Especially now as the new team wants to market ORF1 as the young tv channel.

Apparently ORF gives a lot of shit this year, so thats good. But they have to opt for the more relatable, connectable song and act. They should put both songs to trial with a demographically representative gruop of Eurovision viewers
