The more you research, the more you find Borislav Milanov in Eurovision: he's also behind Chengiz' song last year and he's married to Tamara Gachechiladze (Georgia 2017)...
Btw. he's also Austrian... :)

Borislav Ivanov ... sounds as Slavic as it gets ... or is he from Austria but not an ethnic Austrian?

As a "real" Austrian, I doubt that there is anything like "ethnic" Austrians. There is a very old Austrian Schlager song and the lyrics describe that f.i. a real Viennese woman comes from Bohemia.

From the first view, this is a very fortunate draw for Austria. After several years in the stronger semi we seem to be in the weaker one this year (of course only if you follow the statistics of qualification in recent years)

If he has to perform at the beginning of the semi, it must remind Vincent of the bad running orders he had at "Musical! Die Show".

An uptempo song that is called "Alive" has quite a good chance to open the show.

Vincent's reaction to the draw:
"Sheeeshhh we’re comin’"
😀
Let me interpret. He would have preferred to be in the second half. Who wouldn't?

I am really curious if he will add his trademark to the choreography in Rotterdam. He's been doing this for almost decades, and when asked recently, he said he wouldn't be at the circus all the time. Demonstration last summer:

Vincent attended an annual charity event last night in Vienna. He and other celebrities sold tickets to a raffle to other celebrities. Stunning 410,343 EUROS for people in need could be collected. A record in the 23 year history of the charity event.

Come on, it was a joke. In Vienna it is called "Schmäh", a special form of humor. Also the reporter is quite good at it.
