The city of Vienna and its new mayor is planning a new venue with a capacity of 20,000 people. We are shortly ready for a win and a great Eurovision Song Contest from Austria.


The new hall should "not be a competition, but a useful addition" to the Wiener Stadthalle.
The location will be decided at the beginning of next year.
They always find money for bread and games in Vienna's budget.

The metamorphosis is completed. Conchita wants to be seen as a man now.
In the Article in german here he says roughly: "At a certain point, it felt uncomfortable to be seen as a woman, like it felt uncomfortable before to be addressed as "he".

It still is to be decided weather he keeps the stage name "Conchita".

He should also change his name. Nothing wrong with "Tom". As Conchita he already refused to participate singing in the ESC again, but maybe Tom would do it. First sign that this would happen soon was a few weeks ago, when ORF referred to him as "Tom Neuwirth" with an insert during the "Seitenblicke" show. Nothing is accidental at ORF.

Sara De Blue wants to go to eurovision in 2019 and several countries come into question. She participated in a songwriting camp especially for eurovision located in Sweden.

i think (and hope) it is the opposite. Maybe she will make it to Eurovision this year..... but not for Austria.

we knew that before. sara herself said that. orf just confirmed. announcing her participation was not very wise in my eyes. i dont think orf was very happy about it.
