Sorry Himan, didn't mean you personally with this intelligence argument.

Did that thought really never crossed your mind? It seems also to be in correlation with the digital revolution. The digitalisation is a reduction of information without seemingly hurting the overall surface. But it is a reduction of data in depth. This must have consequences.

I actually agree with you completely in this aspect. The digitalism did lead to the fact that people in generall don't tend to depth anymore. An effect of the digitalism is the accommodativeness. People get lazy in life and find it too arduous to think. You can definitely see this also in Music. The simplier, the better. Okay, I admit that I also still like Mainstream (also in my genre rock), but I still love to see more "complicated" music. I have to say though that I didn't like the videos either. Sorry.

The musical arc theory came to my attention again last week on another event. Mark Forster tried to transport Germanys ESC entry of 1972 into the presence. I thought that this would be impossible. But he succeeded almost by very cleverly reducing the melodic arc of the song. His additional lyrics emphasized that you can't transport the lyrics of that time into the presence.

Edit: Yes, it was in Miami, and I love the small talk before the performance.
