Next week is Austrian NF, woo-hooo
I am strongly favouring 3punkt5, Conchita comes in 2nd. !DelaDap would have been my very first choice with their original entry. Gosh, Crazy swing would have been such a stunner, but it got disqualified
Here's my rating of the acts:
3punkt5 10/10 - I go for this one! Never thought that Sido could deliver such a masterpiece of music. And the serbo-croatian rap part gives me the creeps.
The downside is that this is a casting project of a german rapper and none of the band members is Austrian. But I don't care. Celine Dion wasn't Swiss either.
Conchita Wurst 9/10 - This sounds terrific. I know Eurofans are gonna hate this, but they were bashing Alf Poier as well and we all know the outcome. It has the certain winning swedish-schlager-like tune.
Trackshittaz 7,5/10 - Cool song but not as strong as last year's entry. It's something that no one would expect from Austria, but the lyrics are too rude in my opinion. At least no one's gonna understand them, because it's sung in dialect.
!DelaDap 7/10 - I was looking forward to seeing DelaDap winning the ticket to Baku with Crazy swing. But they lost their chance already by breaching the EBU rules. The other song is just a next best thing, not a winner. Still nice, but not an outstander.
Mary Broadcast Band & Papermoon 7/10 - These two acts have decent quality songs, but they sound as if they don't want to live anymore. So please don't qualify. Thanks!
James Cottriall 6/10 - The singer/songwriter from Wales has quite a fanbase in Austria, but I don't fancy this song at all. It is not bad at all, but it lacks charisma and authenticity.
Valerie 4/10 - Snobbish song. Don't like it.
Krautschädl 2/10 - I expected so much more from them. Something really avantgardistic and new, but this song is a total mess and causes my ears to bleed.
Norbert Schneider 0/10 - Can someone medicate this song away? Horrible!!! But every final needs a sore loser, right?
