Hej, a i kujton ato netë?
Mbetën vetëm sekret
Hej, a i kujton ato netë?
Mbetën vetëm sekret
Hej, a i kujton ato netë?
Mbetën vetëm sekret

Ej, ej, ej, ej, ej, ej, ej

Po vjen djali nga malet
Dhe tek unë sot do falet
Nuk e di a do ndalet
Hajde t'i, hajde t'i falim mëkatet
Për këtë vajzën do vije
Dhe krejt botën ta lije
Unë jam diell nuk jam hije
Ti i je i imi, djalë prej Shqipërie

Hej, a i kujton ato netë?
Mbetën vetëm sekret
Baby shija jote, shijes sime
Peng i ka mbet
Hej, a i kujton ato netë?
Nuk janë më një sekret
Por unë nuk e di, nuk e di
Si kam me u ndi

Nuk e di, si për tjetrën m'ke lon
Edhe sot un po du me ta thon
Edhe një, edhe ty
Nje, dy, tre, ta marrsha
Ta marrsha, ta marrsha
Ta marrsha, ta marrsha
Ta marrsha, ta marrsha
Ta marrsha, ta marrsha

Ma ke bo jetën si lojna, avion
Ma ka lon, ma ka lon
Nuk du nji tjetër, se pishmon
Ma ka lon, ma ka lon

Hej, a i kujton ato netë?
Mbetën vetëm sekret
Baby shija jote, shijes sime
Peng i ka mbet
Hej, a i kujton ato netë?
Nuk janë më një sekret
Por unë nuk e di, nuk e di
Si kam me u ndi

Nuk e di, si për tjetrën m'ke lon
Edhe sot un po du me ta thon
Edhe një, edhe ty
Një, dy, tre, ta marrsha
Ta marrsha, ta marrsha
Ta marrsha, ta marrsha

If the "some Spanish words" include "loco", "seniorita" or "mamacita", I will definitely have to downgrade this one.

Hopefully, the song will not lose too much of its magic/core essence since it´s mostly performed in English.
I really don´t want to give "Sekret" less than :12: pts.

Probably they going to butcher another one of their songs with a revamp indeed. They just had to cut some parts out to get under the 3 min. Not change the production, that one was perfect as it was...

At least, it will probably still be better than the German entry which will also be chosen tomorrow.

I expected the usual Albanian female power ballad, but this is quite different. I like the ethnic elements. I think it's an interesting addition to the line-up. They need to shorten the song and cannot reproduce the staging in May, so I'm wondering what the final version will look and sound like. For now, I give it 7 points.

Albania needs to do this revamp because:

1. The song is too long.
2. The song is a bit too orchestrated and old-fashioned.
3. The casual watcher in especially western europe will have no idea what the heck is going on, english lyrics will help them connect to the song better.

The spanish lyrics is an interesting choice, but maybe it will bring some extra flavour into it. I could totally feel this might be this years "Cleopatra" or "Mata Hari". I expect at least this to be the most fun Albanian entry ever, I am ready for your secrets Ronela! :D

4 out of 5 songs in the Top 5 last year weren´t performed in English - let us not pretend that most Western or Eastern European people can actually understand Italian, French or Ukrainian lyrics.

There´s not reason for changing the language of the song so that the general public will understand a song.
Belgium was #2 in 2003 and they invented a language - nothing did make sense at all.

This whole argument that English is needed for better "connection" is just pure nonsense.

Why would people connect better with bad English lyrics sung with heavy accents? Also, English is not even second language of many Europeans, don't be so "western-centric".

Ya'll make it sound like we are getting some high level poetry here, plz stop. If you need pointless English lyrics to "connect" with a song, then I dunno xshrug

For me it is all about the song if a song is better in english or in their native language. I feel Albania is one of those songs that would need at least an english chorus, just to make it more powerful. Two songs this year who doesn't need it probably is Ukraine or Italy, which would probably wouldn't stand out at all if they were in english. Imagine also if Latvia were in Latvian, noone would understand what the heck was going on and all the puns in it would be totally lost. Then they are those songs that doesn't even matter what language they sing on...sort of is Netherlands that, but in particular Slovenia would probably still be pretty much the same in English as in Slovenian. So I guess it is my own preference, people are of course allowed to think what they like. I am just upset that every year we have this discussion and that the english language is seen as "evil" when it is just an another way to express their emotion. Let the artists do what they want, it only makes Eurovision better to have that freedom of choice.

I'm both curious and nervous. We all know Ronela is serious and she's gonna go hard here, but I'm unsure the decisions made will be for the best. Albanian is the most beautiful language and the ballady bit of the song is my favourite section. We know the language has gone and I fear so too has the beauty of the chorus... but we shall see 👀 I'm hoping this can go up in my ranking.

This revamp will live or die by the intro.
If they’ve shortened or gotten rid of the epic original intro with the lovely backing vocals I will have to downgrade a lot!
