I think they will stay, there is no good reason for a withdrawal.

Please don't withdraw. Albania was one of my favorite esc countries in 2009-2011. However I did'nt really like their last years and also this years entry.
I hope they stay in Eurovision and send such a great song that they win. I'd really love to have Eurovision in Tirana.

I guess all these rumors for withdrawing are fake...

Anyway. Will Albania at last send something that I'll like in ESC?

Elvana Gjata could be a nice choice.

Poni also, with something uptempo pop-folk.

And Leonora Jakupi with something like this:

Tuna as well:

The article seems very similar to what was written in the UK year in year out until this year. It means nothing

I have heard nothing of us withdrawing, and I never believe we would. We are still happy to be able to take part in this contest, even if it is almost 10 years we take part, but our results haven't been bad. I have heard nothing in the news about this, and I personally believe it won't happen.

Last year they confirmed their participation in July 11th, so we can except to see them confirm in the start of July. :)

I really liked Hersi Matmuja out of this year's selection... this is an unusual association and probably just me, but something about how aggressive her voice is honestly reminds me a little bit of Sopho Khalvashi. And her expressions were fabulous, especially for such a "weird" song. A few searches suggest that she's one of those familiar faces who keeps trying, so I hope she has a great song next time she comes back.

What do Elhaida and Riccardo say here (I can't understand neither Riccardo because of translator's voice while he talks)?

Cocciante says: "It's the first time and I'm very happy to come here, and above all for having worked on something artistic between Albania and Italy. I've always thought that arts, the music should have no barriers. The italians were very open minded in the choosing of a singer which is very good and who is not italian. For me this is a double prize, the art should not suffer because someone is of a nationality or of another".

In the other video he says: "When I heard Elhaida, I heard a talent, a real talent which has the possibility to cross barriers. The most difficult barrier to cross was that in Italy, she was an albanian and everyone knew that, but this could be an obstacle to win. I've always believed that despite the fact of which country one comes from, the talents goes over this and together we showed this, we showed that despite everything, the italian people opened their hearts and chose a person who didn't belong to them. Now Elhaida has been adopted by the italians".

Elhaida says: "I want to thank you very much for the support you have given me from the first day until today, and I am very moved, seriously, and I did not expect this support from you, I knew that Albania would become happy and feel proud, but not that it would go that far. I want to thank you from the heart. I felt a winner even if I wouldn't be the winner of that programme, and for this I want to thank you very much."

The President of the Republic decorated today Cocciante, in a sign of gratitude for what he did with Elhaida. Albanians have been in seventh heaven these days for the victory of Elhaida. It is a lifetime we hear italian music, other generations have gone all sort of obstacles to hear it in secret, so Elhaida's victory in a way touches all of us. In a way, it is as if italian music belongs to us also, I personally am grown up with it. As for Elhaida, let's see what move she will make next, I doubt she'll be there to represent us in Eurovision, but who knows, anything can happen.

It's beauty to read this. xlove

I read now she wants to take part in next Sanremo festival, so it seems not represent albania in next esc, but who knows... Btw, I think that every thing she'll choose for her future, will be good. She made me a very good impression, she instills positivity. :)
