Quite possibly (although hard to tell with the video quality) her best performance to date. Everytime Rona sings Suus she puts something different into it. Her timing on this particular performance is quite extraordinary. How she ended the final "Qaj" took me by surprise and gave me chills. She has truly perfected her song yet theres still an exciting, brave element of rawness to her that remains.

Let's pray this is true. As usual there seem to be a very small Albanian fan base and a big fraction of dislikers among first time listeners. I really want this to qualify.

This doesnt sound as bad as I first thought, but I just do not like the shouting bit at all. It's too much. Sorry this is not to qualify from me :(.

It has been rumoured that Albania will possibly withdraw from the competition due to a tragic bus-accident which killed 14 students and injured another 15. Can anyone confirm/deconfirm this?? :shock:

I really don't think Albania will withdraw... that would make the tragedy only worse...Let the Albanians have something positive, something to look forward to, in these days.

Albania will not withdraw, and the media say that Eurovision shall not be broadcasted live, but at 00.05 of the 23rd. I don't know what will happen about the voting....

That's impossible. It's required to broadcast it live. Or is the EBU giving them a special pardon?

Thats sad, terrible news about what happened in Albania. I have this feeling that Rona will be thinking about those lives lost when she performs and well.. maybe something special will happen from the performance. Everytime she has sung Suus, the song has sounded different. The mark of a true jazz singer, to know that each performance you give will be a once in a lifetime moment. She'll be feeling some powerful emotions tonight. I cannot wait for it!

I predict that Rona will literally slay the jury, taking 1st place with them.. Public vote around 6th to 7th.

Well done Albania, well done Rona! Never in a million years would I have predicted it, as it is not an easy song fitting the usual formats, but there it is, it has happened and I'm very happy for it!

So happy for Albania, it's unique and while I wasn't the biggest vocal supporter of this song, I always appreciated for what it was. But Rona won me over with her live performance. And while I felt she only gave 90% today I hope to see 100% on Saturday. But go Albania, you deserved this one.

So in awe with the result. This was the best performance for me in this semi. I'm extremely happy for all the fans of this entry (especially Rainywoods and several others on this board).

The reason why I thought it was the best entry tonight was that it was so authentic, I could feel everything she sang. I believe Rona almost cried at the end of her performance, which....touched me. It was breathtaking for a full 3 minutes. Wow. I'm taking a bow to this.
