When I watched the rehearsal I was thinking "Nice, RainyWoods is going to be very pleased"...that's how much I associate the song with you :D

She kinda won me over today so I hope it's not too late to join the club. I may have to pay a late fee but that's okay!!!

Gosh am I that much of a Rona spammer? haha:lol:

Im delighted that others seem to be changing their views of "Suus". As you said before Matt, it's a song thats meant to be sung live. It's not a pretty little song you can leave playing in the background as you potter around doing stuff. You gotta give it your full attention and there is nothing better than to watch Rona perform it live. You see every pain, every emotion. I must say that vocally Rona has completely honed it in now. I love the two original Festivali i Këngës performances with all my heart but you can now hear that Rona has found the sweet spot for her powerful cries. Before they were extremely wild and raw which I personally didnt mind but I understand others were put off by it. I think Rona will start to change alot of opinions now and no, of course it's not to late to join the "Suus" club:lol:

Boh, the live performance was so amazing. It gave me ghoosebumps. This is not an easy listening song, but I'm now quite confident, that she will qualify, because the juries will vote for her. Soo amazing.

My predictions for Albania:

This will be the biggest (good) surprise of the night. While the televoters will put Albania in 10th place, the juries will award Albania with a 2nd place and the final position for Albania will be third place!!!

Albania: A cheerful singer with a sad song

Rona Nishliu is singing Suus, a ballad in Albanian language, on the Eurovision Song Contest stage this year. She is already anticipating her performance in the Dress Rehearsals next week and looking forward to singing in front of a big audience, as she told Eurovision.tv before entering the stage for today's rehearsal.

"I hope I'll give my best today, as just like the first rehearsal, this one today is very important", Rona Nishliu said to Eurovision.tv when we met her in the dressing room of the Albanian delegation.

"Hopefully after today's rehearsal, I'll be ready for the Dress Rehearsal, with the audience, as this is the one I have been waiting for already for so long. The audience gives you back so much energy, and because of the magic it creates, this is very important to me, " she summed up her expectations for today's rehearsal.

In the rehearsal, Rona Nishliu proved her own statements - she is definitely ready for the dress rehearsals, as she seemed very secure both in terms of vocals, stage presence, and camerawork. She sang her dramatic ballad all alone on stage, without the support of special effects or backing vocalists.

The stage scenery was set in red colour, with a dark LED backdrop, on which black-and-white silhouettes appeared in the middle of the song. Rona was wearing a very special earring and necklace today, featuring disc-like shapes in lime green.

In the press conference, a British journalist asked Rona Nishliu why she had chosen to perform alone on stage in Baku. "I'm the lyricist, and the story of my song is based on a personal experience, and so we thought it was easier to express this when I'm alone on stage", she replied.

"Suus is supposed to mean Personal, as it just sounds like this to me. Music and especially lyrics goes beyond borders and races. I'm singing my song in Albanian, as I think it is more powerful and original like that", she explained to the question of the press conference host why she sang her song in Albanian and what the song title meant.

A F.Y.R. Macedonian journalist remarked that, unlike other artists from Kosovo, Rona followed a less commercial style of music. Rona Nishliu commented that she tried to do what she felt and what was her passion, and that it was important for any artist to grow and change during the artistic process.

"A performance that has a value behind is the best thing you can have. If people feel something while you are singing, this is the best compliment, and the applause of the audience after a performance is the greatest thing", Rona told the press audience.

There's obvioulsly a lot of feeling and true 'poetry' involved in this song. There's no way of ignoring it or being cold to that. That's the main reason why I honestly tried to hear this song in such a way that I could 'learn' to like it a bit since I consider my self a sensitive guy :) Unfortunately I wasn't able to accomplish my wish. I got lost in the middle of the song. Her screams make me want to stop listening to it and I honestly believe this song totally relies on the jury. I think it won't succeed with the televoters. Has got some possibilities to qualify though. But will get nowhere in the final if that happens.

 your friend's try is a living nightmare! It takes a lot of courage to show this publicly  oh well, but we can all see and 'feel' his devotion to the song which is kinda sweet :?

Yes, I can sing in real life but my beautiful voice changed mysteriously into "elephant's orgasm" noise when I recorded it to my computer. And the song was a little bit hard, I know. :p

^^Excellent, just excellent performance once again.

You know, it really really sucks that I can't vote in semi 1.

Just imagin, that she will perform with an audience even better. Is this possible? Her performance was already so stong.
