Seems like Azerbaijan has a thing for greek choreographers

Congrats to Dimitris Papaioannou (the director of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games of Athens in 2004) and to all the people who worked for this! :D

I dont think that most of Germany's best athletes even take part in Baku, so the results doesn't mean anything :)
Nobody here care about the Eurpean Games (unfortunately).. and if there wasn't the thread in this forum I wouldn't have an idea that they are conducted right now. Football is clear dominating here and right now there is the Womens World cup, the men's under-20 World Cup, soon starts the men's Under-21 Euro, last few days there were the Euro 2016 qualifiers matches and also the Copa America has started. Too much football and no place for European Games :(

I see. Well i agree with you. This event we want (prove) just because of to get for Olympic games 2024. But so far what i see the quality is not lower than Olympic games. We spend for this $8 billion.

I just check the number that Germany send. It is 270 athletes. I mean how many best ones exist; so you can allow yourself to send 270 weak ones. Interesting.

I checked the list of our paticipants and I found out that we sent our best athletes in table tennis, in shooting, in fencing & gymnastics. I don't have a clue about the other sports, maybe we sent also our best athletes of the other sports.

Obviously I was wrong when I wrote that we didnt send our best athletes. I think that's actually pretty good that this event is taken seriously.

It is good chance for them to get ticket to Rio, if they will get medal. good luck to your country. :)
