Too bad! I really expected Germany at least in 1/2 final.....

Unfortunately the times where we are aspirants for semi final are over... we had a big crisis the last years, many good players retired, so the team has less experience... Lots of people in Germany didn't expect more than the round of last 16. So the performance, especially against France and Spain, was amazing and surprising...
I hope they can confirm this performance in the next years and maybe we will reach the same level like we had 10 years ago

Finally we beat France! I couldn't watch the second half cause I was too nervous. Next is Denmark... hmm, not sure what to expect, but I believe our team will handle it well. :D

GREAT JOB!
Yeah, haha I still hardly can believe...France is FINALLY defeated....:) it was obvious we were better all the time....through whole match:) WOHOOOA!
Now, also a very big obstacle expects us in 1/2 final - Denmark. I hope there is still enough strength in our team's hands and legs.....and that they can make a miracle and qualify to the World cup final first time after 2009......but let' s wait tomorrow evening and see.....LET'S GO!:) FINAL FOR US!

Well we played bad tonight. Yes, it's a fact. But it is also true that semis were unlucky for us in the last few championships. On the other hand, Denmark didn't have so strong rivals as we did (Spain, France).... but ok, that's all part of the sport. This defeat isn't disaster at all.
Tomorrow at 19.00 CET the match for 3rd place and for a bronze MEDAL, against Slovenia ... so GO CROATIA! I think we deserved the medal!xheya

Well the Danish players did finish first in our group (not the strongest group) And the first place gives an advantage in the play-off stage most of the time :) But yeah this semi should imo have been the final :) - Bad day at the office for the croatian players and great tactical win for DK imo :)

Oh I love Slovenian team, but I don't like when we play against ex-Yu teams, there is more possibility that we lose I think. Anyway fate brought us together and we will play for 3rd place

3 years in a row we're in semifinals and we lost again. Such great team and they can't get gold medal? We played such slow handball today :(.
Just read one comment in Croatian website and I have to laugh like crazy xrofl. For those who understand Croatian: "Tako je Goluža za svakog igrača imaš nekaj pametno za reći.....a di je bio tvoj ljubavni partner Marko Kopljar???Bio umoran od seksa s tobom od jučer....". This nation is crazy

Congrats to Denmark, they're real pleasure to watch .

You are baaack!!! :D  I agree about everything you said. You see the little ex-yus like Macedonia, Slovenia and Montenegro always want to take on the bigger ex-yus (Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia) and win.  But it's always fun and Croatia vs. Slovenia would be an awesome match - me thinks!
 at that comment. Kopljar wasn't good today and Cupic was..absent.

In the final I'm gonna cheer for Denmark. They were really good (btw Macedonia scored the most goals in the Danish net - 30!! ) throughout the tournament. Pity for Croatia as they trashed France and Spain.

I assumed that Denmark would win the semi-final.
Imo they are clearly the best team at the moment... Already in the group stage they impressed me, especially against Iceland. Mikkel Hansen is just brilliant...
It's a pity for Croatia considering the fact that their performance are great in every tournament, but when the really important matches come up, they can't expolit their full potential
Reminds me on German football team

.

Sadly (or luckily, depends how one watches it ), Serbia is not a huge team in handball. We are a group of sore losers just like our soccer team. Now it is more than clear that our second place from Euro 2012 was a result of home field (and the Serbian audience). Based on quality, we do not belong there. Darko Stanic is 70% of our team. Without him, we would've been even worse. And he will leave the national team now as well as Momir Ilic, and they have my support for that. They said that they don't want to play with losers.

We can't beat a single European team that knows how to play handball outside our own field. We achieved a great result on this championship - we outclassed forces like Saudi Arabia and Belarus, and as soon as we reached a more serious team we got one slap after another.

We play a handball from the 80s and the era of Metaloplastika. Well done to them, but that was ages ago. We don't know how to play counter-attacks, we are playing an ugly and slow handball, we make a lot of idiotic fouls (Sesum's foul in the match against Slovenia is the most obvious example) and we only use backs when we attack. Our game is simply read by everyone. I would know how to stop it and not to mention the coaches.

And on top of this fiasco, our coach didn't want to say that he is guilty as well, no he said that the older players influenced his decisions during the match with Slovenia and he wanted to calm down their vanities xcrazy Now, this is an embarrassment for any coach to say, and I would personally sack him immediately after this. After the defeat from Poland, young players are responsible, after the defeat from Slovenia the old ones, and after the debacle against Spain everyone.......yes, everyone is guilty except him personally.

Croatia and Hungary have shown us where we belong on the Olympic Games and Slovenia has shown us that again on this championship. Even though I was honestly hoping that I am wrong I knew what will happen even before all this started..........and you can see that in my first post on this topic.

YES! BRONZE MEDAL FOR CROATIA! xheyax12sxyaaayxdance:) WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
We played great against very good and motivated opponent, Slovenia! They wanted to surprise us. It didn't look nice in the beginning but then we showed who we are when it comes to handball and in the 2nd halftime we played without big pressure and won! I am happy because this is the 3rd medal in last three big competitions (Eurocup, Olymic games and now Worldcup - three bronzes)! In the same time, it is 9 th medal for us in Eurocups and Worldcups (in total)! It shows continuation in our team and game and I think it will remain in the future. Well done job, guys, respect! Medal is medal.

Tomorrow a big final match in 17.15 CET follows - Spain vs Denmark:)
