2012 Men's European Handball Championship - Serbia

Darko Stanic is the maaaaaaan!!! Hopefully Serbia can win the gold! They absolutely deserve it more than the Danes! I tuned in the second half and Serbia and Stanic started playing good apparently. Good job! Lot of heart on the field, I like that. I will cheer for Croatia for the bronze as well, because they didn't deserve to loose from Spain. Croatia fought well, but not well enough against Stanic.

Big congratulations to Serbia! I managed to watch the last 15 minutes of Croatia-Serbia and frankly Serbia was the better team in this match.
Who knows, Serbia might become a handball-nation from this year on. The fans are awesome and loud (still don't beat the macedonians), and the team seems to be on a roll at the moment. Shall be exciting to follow the Serbian team in big handball-tournaments in the future.

Well played, but I'm afraid your winning streak stop on sunday. We had an extremely shaky start but we've managed to come back, and hopefully Serbia will learn it the hard way. We'll be hungry for revenge. :twisted:

OK I hope our dear neighbours will celebrate now, they are I guess Heaven nation, always so much luck.....and their friends Macedonians who rooted for them...ok make parties all next week, "kruha i igara" or "bread and games"...it is all you are capable for, though.....they won after all that awful things and after breaking our cars and injure our innocent people. So come on, enjoy!!

but you should know: we are more proud then you think and we will revenge this defeat, maybe already in the Olympic Games...I am sure you cannot repeat this success there! and now I will wait for the olympic tournament ONLY for see that happening

OMG Vatroslav I really can stand you. My God this is just a sport. E vala svašta stvarno.

About game, we was much better than Croatia in second halftime, especially our goalkeeper Stanić.
I jet can't believe what we done, here is big party. This Friday, crazy Friday is one of the most successful days in our sport history.
First Novak Đoković won against Murray in AO semifinal, in was amazing game. It was clash of the Titans, really great game. I enjoy in every points

Than our water polo pride beat Italy in Euro champ semi final and finally finally cherry on the top, handball finale o yeahhhhhh

Today I'm really proud to be Serbian hehe

And BTW its amazing than in top six handball nations on this champ 4 are ex yu - Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia and Slovenia. I hope see all of them in London this summer.
And congrats Macedonia on fifth place and olympic qualifications.

WHAT? Well it wouldn't surprise me.....it is really low and unfair if it really happened.....so, IF it happened!

I am proud to be Croatian.
Because we CAN stand the situation that we don't always reach a golden medal, whereas they almost always blame the others if they are defeated. It is disaster if they lose, especially in finals. Or the judging was not fair enough, or they "let" the rivals to win....or this, or that. I mean, I saw such comments many times, I don't invent this!

Anayway, our team was fair, the game was honest today and that's why I am happy.

I also hope we reach the bronze in Sunday and then...the Olympic games are close!

Yeah, Serbian fans were horrible, but nothing strange. It repeats all the time. Now next time when game will be in Croatia, our fans will do the same. I'm really sick of it and lets just focus on sports. Must say I'm shocked how bad we played, especially in the 2nd half. Stanić wasn't that good, how much our shots sucked. And our goalkeepers were even worse
Congrats to Serbia, cause today they were better

Also I'm surprised Spain lost . Denmark's come back is awesome. Congrats!

I am only telling what really happened, I don't want to offend anyone! Come on people! I am not guilty because the world (sport's world in this case) is like it is!

Indeed, we had the same things going on for us in Zagreb and I didn't write those things that some have wrote here.......I would be shocked if they didn't happen ( ) But I don't know why some focus on those things, when they know their fans are doing the same.

For some it is not ok when some people sing " J**i ustase" and when their fans sing "Srbe na vrbe" that is ok and that is normal. Well for me - BOTH ARE NOT NORMAL! I hope now some things are more clear....

And I also think it is good to be huge in the defeat as well, because all of us were respecting Croatian team, and were supporting them in all matches so far. I know I did, and writing things like these are.........I better don't comment them, as it is not my problem and I don't have it solve it.

As for the match, Croatia played a great first half and gave us a lot of problems. I think Goluza gave a great answer to our defence, and that is the reason why we got so many goals. We were good in attack, but bad in defense, which wasn't the case in the matches before this one. Marjanac on the goal didn't help Vukovic changed the tactics in the second half, and we came to our game. Stanic was in his element again and that all helped us win the match On the other hand, I think Ailovic hasn't been on a level of his general quality, and that is the reason why we had a large lead. Also, Croatia didn't have a reply to our changed formation in the second half and that is the reason for victory.

I hope you will beat Spain and take bronze medal

It's over I'm a bit sad...all nice sport events finished today
I wanna congratulate to everybody who took part in Euro Handball...it was really interesting to follow. Biggest positive surprise for me were: Macedonia and Serbia. Macedonia (though I knew handball is kinda national sport there), but this team definitely deserves SOME medal really soon, and OMG..their fans...I think every country should have fans like that. For me it's team with best charisma
And...Serbia. It was a big surprise for me, since I never expected we would get any medal in handball But I knew our team was preparing hard for a long already...so, some kind of come back had to happen sooner or later. Now I think new foundations r made for handball in Serbia, and in future I expect them to do well
Tbh, biggest negative surprise for me was France Before championship, they supposed to be very strong team, now they look....just lost:?
Congratulations to Denmark for their gold, they played better in final, were more secure in every aspect. Very well deserved gold medal
Also, congrats to Croatia for their bronze (if they win over us one day...I promise I won't be upset at all) [Vatroslav, I'm looking mainly at your direction]
