Well, the sun has set on another WLSC contest, and our boys - Simple Plan & Sean Paul - did us proud with a really strong start that sadly lost steam towards the end of voting resulting in an 11th place finish out of 20 - shame we couldn't hang on to the top 10, but thank you as ever to all of the wonderful nations who granted Moisantia some of their precious points:

So now on to WLSC #26 in ChessLand, and I've been wanting to send this super-awesome amazing pop song for over a month now, and I finally have the chance. They won the UK edition of X Factor last year, and this is their debut original single - I adore everything about this song, the brass, the clapping, the vocals and the lyrics - it's just a fantastic feel-good pop track.

Since I had to steal one of Zoidiac's artists for the recent Robbery spin-off, I searched through all of his old artists, and as well as finding Faber Drive for that contest, I just happened to find the most wonderful song from one of his other previous artists - Bryan Rice. This song is one of the most perfect pop duets that I've heard in years, and I have been listening to it religiously for well over a week now! I hope you all enjoy it too

I know that the current edition isn't yet over, but I couldn't resist announcing that for the next edition, Moisantia will be having an NF!! 5 songs all from the same artist/group - all of them are on constant repeat on my generic mp3 player at the moment and I really would be happy to send any of them to WLSC, so that's why I'll be letting you guys decide.

Think some 80's and 90's influences, pure unashamed power pop and some much happiness that your autumn blues will vanish in a second with the pure summery goodness. I may have some clues for the artist over the weekend if anyone is interested... if not, then the big reveal and the songs will be after the WLSC #27 results (P.S. VOTE BRYAN & JULIE!!)

I should say that while the songs display obvious 80's and 90's influences, they were all released over the past few years. I am totally obsessed with this group/artist and believe they are sadly under-appreciated by many, so I hope my NF will bring their joy to more people

Depends what country's charts you are referring to. They have enjoyed fairly widespread success since around 2008, but haven't been as successful recently.
