Does anyone ever confirm their NSC entry and then get stuck in an endless fight with themselves about whether to change it or not because they've found another song? I need to be banned from YouTube/Vevo after confirming my entry until the contest starts!
I usually resist this temptation to change my entries, unless there's another reason like, let's say, the song to be entered in another contest, something that happened to me several times in WLSC, that's why I changed my entries sometimes (see: "Let it fall", "Indian summer", "Riverside"). Or if the song I found will most probably be used in contests so if I have the chance to send it myself first I should be as quick as possible (see: "PreGomesh"). I resisted sending a song I found some weeks ago over the one I chose for NSC103 some days before that.

What would be your preferred option for a song that doesn't have an official video?...
a) a video containing lots of changing pictures of the artist?
b) a lyric video?
c) a still frame video (just with a photo or other image)?

c) picvids, cause I can concentrate on the song rather than the video... but I don't watch videos when I listen to the songs so it doesn't matter. a) is meh and b) is kinda annoying sometimes.
By animated, do you mean like an After Effects style video like the one I used for Katy Tiz "Red Cup"? If so, that probably wouldn't happen - it would be a bit more basic on the whole.

This happened to me this edition actually, a song that was 11th in one ISC final grew on me because of the video and the way it fits the song (sounds lame I know) and will most probably get points from me now.
That's exactly why I don't watch videos, it just changes the whole perspective to the song, and I like to judge by the song itself, not special effects or visuals that complement sounds or melody.
(Btw, the opposite can happen. I started hating some songs I liked in the past if their videos were somehow disturbing. Then, the next time I'd listen to that song somewhere, these images would come back to mind and they'd make me want to switch to another song )
