Geographically Romania is not in the Balkans (except the southern-eastern part of it), but we share the same mentality as the balkan countries, we have a lot of things in commun, even our folk music is very similar....not to mention that Romania is mentioned in the Balkan region in a lot of historical/geopolitical books, I studied at university lol....maybe we aren't a Balkan country, but we behave as we would be...and most of the people think we are (even the Romanians, we have here a big hit, released last summer sung by Puya, and the song is called "Somewhere in the Balkans" - and is about Romanian nation in that song) So, to end up, my opinion is that nobody can deny that Romania has a stong connection to the Balkan region, being or not being a Balkan country.

On topic: The Serbian song has grown on me.... :) I like the rhythm a lot.

I am glad that this year we have a joyful, playful and a song full of energy.

The last one in the row I listened to (except for Ukraine who has to present yet another song... again).

Ok, Serbia... one of the better ex-Yugo countries in the contest. Not bad this year (but then again I liked the entry of 2009 as well). It's once more an ethnic song (for which you get points from me anyhow)... and besides that this sounds pretty good even for Irish ears. Perhaps not final-material, but I wouldn't call it bad either.

Listened (and watched) it once more... and I must say (as an Irish) I like this kind of music a whole lot better than the wannabe-euro-crap some other countries present. This is etnic Serbian (or Balkan, as you like) which gives a certain flavour to the song. In my case that flavour translates as 'respect'... not only my respect towards the song/act but also the Serbian respect to it own roots. For that alone I grant this song points (same goes for the Netherlands who respect their own language by singing Dutch this year and bringing old-Dutch-schlager).
I can't remember a Serbian song sung in English... I sure remember most Serbian songs sung in Serbian... which says enough.

I think that Milan Stankovi? has good chances for winning the ESC because he's a great and talented singer and his song is catchy and good for dancing. Also, he's daaaamn good :p He'll surely get my voice and I'm from Croatia ;)
