Honestly I am really upset about the whole event and the fact that Raab took FS instead of Cage. Cage would have at least gotten many Jury-points, but as for FS we don't even know if they will be among the top 10 in televoting in May. I think that Raab didn't have the guts to sort them out, but why did he take them at all when he knows that they will win the Final?

Also disappointed with A & T. I doubt that they will be top 10 in televoting and to speak of the Juries anyway.

So please send Moss. Could stand out this year. I am hopin for the old ARD audience this time! :ROFLMAO:

And we don't stop fighting for our right to party in the knight club...

Tumblr, mostly.
well he WANTS to do it next year.
He's doing it this year by actively being involved in the selection procedure, and look at the state of these finalists.

He should just crawl under a rock and never return.

The issue is one of TASTE. None of these finalists are badly produced, poorly performed or understaged. The music is just so... limp, on all of them except for Baller (the only one with a POOR live performance for compensation).

Germany is fucked, regardless of Raab's involvement. They have learned exactly NOTHING from past failures or even their slight win last year, where Isaac carried them to 12th place.

oh and Feuerschwanz are winning Chefsache. The two things Germany is known for at ESC are (1) being insipid and (2) being cringe, and Feuerschwanz have the awkward honour of being the only Chefsache finalist that is both at once.

My gut feeling says the medieval song would do much better than Lord of the Lost. Much better styling than Lord of the Lost's off-putting red latex suit, plus I think people underestimate how much casual viewers will enjoy hearing German language metal lol. The song is nowhere near as strong as Electric Callboy's rejected song, but still okay as far as novelty acts go

But its not even real German is it 🤣. The entire chorus is English, and the first verse is a bunch of Ned Stark, Jon Snow, Robin Hood rambling, ok and then there are few sentences in German at the end LOL (not that you understand anything they're singing anyway with how load the instruments are...)

Here we go.

Abor & Tynna - Baller 5.0/10
Feuerschwanz - Knightclub 4.8/10
Lyza - Lovers on the Mars 3.1/10
Benjamin Braatz - Like you love me 2.8/10
Leonora - This blyss 2.6/10
Cosby - Im still here 2.5/10
Moss Kena - Nothing can stop love 2.4/10
The great Leslie 2.2/10
Julika - Empress 2.0/10

Regarding Eurovision:

Abor & Tynna will get one-digit Jury+Televotes, but have potential to be Top10 in many YT-Tops and Top15 in the forum game.
Feuerschwanz song tries to be televote-friendly, but really isnt. 20-25 Points at best, which is more than anyone else here.
Moss Kena has potential for 40-50 Jurypoints and less than 10 Televotes and therefore is result-wise the best option here.

I don’t like Cage at all and I don’t think she would have been successful at Eurovision.

Is it do clear that Feuerschwanz are winning? Uff this is a really basic song with basic staging…. I guess it would do slightly better than LOTL but probably not much.

In my opinion is the second frontrunner then. From what I’ve read on YouTube etc he has got his fans… In my opinion it’s a to cliche song but it’s by far the best voice and he was serving a low-key Sam Ryder moment yesterday. It’s the best option for :de:. It would have a decent jury success and probably also get some televoting points.

Or maybe we should have Cage or Julika sing "If Jesus saw what we did last night" 🤔

Funnily enough, I had the exact same thought, the song would fit Julika like a glove considering she loves her horror movies or whatever that was  Or heck, have them join June, I think the nerves got to her, she kinda stabilised herself and sang with more confidence when her background dancers joined her for that short dance stint towards the end.

Oh yes, Julika & Cloudy together! It would so work with the lyrics to have that be a girl duet. And their voices could for together too.

Like T.A.T.U. in better. If Cloudy dies her hair red again, it would be even closer

Tbh Raab is quite out of touch when it comes to Eurovision. His comments on the performances were quite random sometimes.

It's like he spent too much time with NDR people and something rubbed off, Idk LOL. I mean I don't want to give him too much credit for thinking out of the box since the stuff he picked before like Satellite or Max Mutzke weren't groundbreaking either...... but I also still remember how hard he fought for Taken By A Stranger to go through in 2011 for example and now suddenly he's like 'if it doesn't have the most primitive hook imaginable, it's out' or 'we don't need staging'.

I don't understand the negativ reactions about our NF, it's like every year the same.
In my eyes, our NF is one of the best this year, you can all hate me for this words.
This year we have so many bad NF's and also the quality of the already chosen Songs are low, in our NF are much better Songs. That's all want to say to this.
To my faves, Love Moss Kena, he is a superstar, this Song give me goosebumps. Then The Great Leslie, they are outstanding and really entertaining, love this. Abor & Tynna deliver one of the best German language song in years, maybe the performance could be better. To Cosby i know and love them before our NF, this song really touch me. I hope one of them will make it.

I think in this special Eurovision year, full of songs rather for the trash can, Moss Kena actually has more jury potential than most of you might think. His vocals are flawless, the song is not groundbreaking but decent enough. I can imagine it getting like 100-150 jury points with a little bit of luck, why not?

What else is really there for the juries so far?

Afterall, do you guys think Feurschwanz has it in the bag or does Moss Kena or any other act have a shot? I don't think Abor & Tynna can win the NF. The song might have some success outside the NF, but I highly doubt they will have enough televoting success in the NF.

Since we switch from RTL to ARD and the audience is a completely different one, I am just simply HOPING that the older audience will vote for Moss. Just a small hope, but that is all we have left for now. Who knows? We have seen so many things happening and I hope that just like some other years the act with the largest fanbase won't win.

I agree. Moss is actually the only singer who elevated his song by his performance. Very special with a fantastic appeal. Loved his performance most and I think with such a song we could stand out this year and get many Jury points.

Yes I also thought that Moss has got a chance because the ARD audience might be a bit older than the RTL one...

Song-wise I'd agree.
for me this is the mainthing - the song is king, because germany is not italia, sweden and momently also the ukraine - singing skills are also important but you can fix a lot there with all that meanwhile allowed tools at the ESC.
the first round without any contest song was a huge mistake - some artists are nervous because first time on a big stage and TV too,so you have a chance to present the song and for the next round you can fix something.
we have seen this so many times p.e. in baltic NF rounds.
when you have around 3000 songs and the result are these mostly very weak 24 songs somebody has made mistakes - i am sure there were better metal songs available and also something in the "katze" direction.
mister raab brought us lena and now he is the hangman of our possibilities
.🥴

My ranking. If you ask me who's my favourite, I'd probably still say Feuerschwanz because of the costumes and the chorus is catchy at least but all songs are very bad. I can't see us getting any success in May. Moss might be winning over the juries (if other countries don't submit any jury-friendly songs) but he would miserably flop with the public.
Feuerschwanz might be more appealing to the viewers but I can't see them hitting the public Top 15 either (and probably finishing last with the juries).
Abor & Tynna would be a miserable fan flop finishing Bottom 5 with both (juries/televoting).

I am still shocked and appalled how non-competitive these songs are.
julika was the best vocalist, for sure, but the song is painfully uneventful. I didn't even bother to listen to the whole song again.

1 Lyza 4/10
2 Moss Kena 3/10
3 Abor & Tynna 2/10
4 Feuerschwanz 1/10
5 Great Leslie 1/10
6 Benjamin 1/10
7 Julika 0/10
8 Leonara 0/10
9 Cosby 0/10

Worst German NF since 2022.
