The song is about people incapable to open up. This is a cultural or anthropological problem in Finnish society he sings about.

Though, it's very common in some other European countries as well.

There are some I won't name where people in the course of week are incapable to lead a small chit chat with neigbours or coworkers and then on Friday afternoon they go to pub and drink like crazy to relax and socialize a little. It's one more point he raises in his lyrics.

I love it.
Tbh before I read the translated lyrics I had hoped he would be singing about f***ing me (or any other listener) into oblivion because let’s face it, I‘d be here for it but (especially) as a German I also relate to the actual meaning. I have a very hard time letting go when I know people technically could be watching me. I wish I could get back the ease of my early teens, back when I was a youngster Musical actor and I didn’t care about other people‘s opinions. And since he is raising important points in my life, that makes me like the song even more and is my number one until Loreen gets (hopefully) chosen.

Wow, that entire NF was just INCREDIBLE. Couldn't stop to write comments because I was just too excited waiting for the next song, and then the results, and then...

Well, I can't say I'm in any way unhappy about Cha Cha Cha winning. An easy :12: for me. What a stunning performance, it's bombastic, it's camp, it's intimidating and it's funny all at once. The dancers are a total hit, I LOVE the contrast of them dancing cha cha cha while looking like they want to tear each others' throats out. Can't wait to see this live in Liverpool.

Honestly though, every song was just so good. Even Robin and Portion Boys, who had previously been at a point of 'mild like' to me, have shot up to 'love'. I almost cried at Something to Lose (though I will admit I was quite far into the G&Ts at that point). I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say every single song tonight would make it into my top 10 for this year. If only we hadn't lost them. I'm going to miss all the fun of the interviews and clips from UMK channel, too. What an amazing amazing NF, thank you so much :fi:.

Only one last thing to say though and... Benjamin. xcryI have such an embarrassing crush on that man. I recognise that his vocals were the weakest of the night and if someone had to come last, it really should be him, but...... that staging. That dancing. That outfit. That ass. Ugh, I was in love for every single second. The moment with the stagehand/dancer coming on and holding the mic... xheat I will be following Benjamin's future music for sure. Time for me to learn Finnish I guess so I can understand his videos and interviews too.

I agree with everyone saying that this NF was super-strong and quite a few songs from here are going to stay on my playlist.
I'm so happy for Käärijä, his performance had me smile from start to finish, loved it! He's one of the artists I wouldn't mind seeing win the whole thing :)

Thank you Finland, once again, for the best NF of the year, with a deserved winner and a great show overall. Käärja was the obvious winner here: his song is iconic and will stand out even more in Eurovision: the way it is melting different genres may be not everyone's Cup of tea, but I find it a beautiful mess, something that really stands out.

Eurovision fans: OMG! such a fun and catchy song. We didn't see and hear anything like this in years! Well done Finland! 12 points!

Also Eurovison fans: OMG! such a fun and and catchy song. We didn't see and hear anything like this in years! How dare you Croatia! 0 points!

Maybe we just don't think the croatian song is catchy? And those songs are nothing alike, why would we automatically love both?

A generous :1: from me for this mess. The song only sounded ok-ish during the middle and that's it. No desire to listen to the song ever again.

On the grander scale of things, I realize I am being too harsh with my grading. While it's a mess, but at least it is unique compared to the other non-descript songs we are getting. So I am changing it to a :3: because I am lazy to downgrade the other 10 over entries that I have given a :3:.

I'm not talking about the songs or their genre, I'm talking about the reasons peopel loving or hating the songs. It's the same reason but the effect is opposite.

Yeaaaaahhhhhhh easiest 12 of this year!

Cha cha cha makes me ridiculously happy somehow and it's great to see finland didn't screw it. Helsinki 2024 y'all 🥳 (Or whatever city they would choose)

But the staging was a total circus 🤡
