It's a ploy one way or another with those guys. It's not without reason that in the Dutch Kievan dialect of my region Istanbul sounds like you're saying 'what a mess'.

We're now leaving the 17th century and hop into our time travelling machine to arrive in Ancient times, to grudges as old as the civilisations themselves. The first Persian Empire, ruled by the Achaemenids, an empire larger than any previous empire in history, has set its eyes on the Greek states, proud Kingdom of Macedon especially. Would have helped if the Macedonian tactics didn't consist of trying to tempt the Persians.
