Must say I was rather impressed with Ruth Lorenzo's last dancing performance. It was like all of a sudden a dreary old song made sense and wasn't dreary or old anymore.
But then I read she said she was going to be singing standing still on the eurovision stage! How came?!
If she's capable of such a performance, as she obviously is, why the heck won't she? What is she thinking?

I think you people from Spain should make her at all costs. And add a shower somewhere or something, Eric Saade's style that never was.

We're talking bottom 5 or top 5 here IMO!

I've just read the artists for next Madrid Gay Pride concert and it looks like a little Eurovision

- Baccara (Luxembourg 1978)

Baccara! Sigh... My first love for an international artist. I loved them! Played them time after time on my cassette player. My favourite was of course Yes Sir I Can Boogey. And Darling....

Why not Malta? She should go there since it looks a bit of promotion there guarantees 12 points during seeeeveral years xcrazy

She's really throwing herself into promotion in the UK though. It will be awkward if in May we give Spain 0 points. Also I think Molly should book herself a flight to Malta, guarantee us 12 for a few years, then in 3/4 years send our representative there just as a bit of a refresher thing to stop them slacking in the points.

Malta is Azerbaijani territory. We have to attack San Marino. xcrazy

She started her career there. She is more famous in the UK than in Spain + UK gave us some points in the last years (which means more than 80% of ESC countries ). Anything less than 12 points, or okay maybe 10, would lead Spain to invade Gibraltar!!!!

Thats it you see. We're still sweating over that 10 points in 2009. What a piss take, and don't get me started on the 0 2010, 2011, 2012. We just decided to be awkward with Spain over Gibraltar. You redeemed yourself last year with those 4 points. :D Lets make it 12 this year, then we might consider talking about Gibraltar with Spain. Might. xshifty

UK seems to get quite an even spread of countries voting for us. No country (apart from Ireland) votes for us 2 bad years in a row.

Yeah, everyone knows Spain-UK politics about Gibraltar are exclusively dependent on Eurovision points :geek:

Seriously though, I bet most of Spaniards (and Brits too) would easily exchange Gibraltar for some points in Eurovision

Lol probably. I'm sure most Spanish aren't really that fussed over Gibraltar. Brits don't really get that excited about it until we see in the news that Spain's been going sick again, then we like WAR WITH THEM ALL, DAT OUR SHlT, and then become awkward with anyone.

We seem to have a weird relationship in eurovision. Its like "Lets be point friends, but don't do it so often that its obvious, every couple of years or so will do fine".

Well, it's difficult to be UK's or Spain's friend when it comes to Eurovision (and when it comes to vote for our songs xcrazy). We are the ugly nerds in the high school. Even if there are guys who like us, they will never say in public because they woul suffer bullying and wouldn't be popular anymore.
Cool ESC countries like Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Russia, Ukraine.... are all hot cheerleaders and quaterbacks who ban everyone to be our friends :(

Only Portugal is our ESC friend (And Ireland yours), but that's just because we're family and they had no other choice.

Then we have Albania, Greece, Switzerland, France, Israel or Italy. They can be friends for some time and give points, but secretly. When THE OTHERS will see this they will be again like OH THOSE LOSERS.

But one day someone will remove our glasses, spots and dental devices; we will get gorgeous dresses, will get into the Eurovision Ball, will be the superstars there, will become popular and everybody will love us. I'm sure xqueenbitch

Perfect comparison really. When we win this year and you come second xqueenbitch we will be on top. Don't forget Malta in that group for the secretly like us  They occasionally sling a couple of points our way. Everyone voted for us once xcry THEN THAT UKRAINE CAME AND SPOILED IT ALL. *runs to room crying*

But Malta only loves you, not Spain at all....... And they're your family too, though not as close as Ireland or Portugal. So I suppose they have to give you at least some points if they want a non too awkward christmas dinner + they have a new boyfriend (Azerbaijan) the family does not accept. They must keep diplomacy.

Re: SPAIN 2014

Good song overall, not an outstanding one in the studio, but jawdroppingly brilliant live. A top5 for sure.
