This song isn't bound to be epic at all! It's all about the emotion and the fragility, quite "stripped-back".
I guess the forum is divided into "Carl sings bad" vs "Carl sings well" xcrazy

Emotive and fragile songs can be epic too!

I kinda agree with you,he has got a bad boy influence but no jeans shirt please.

I agree on that.... I am NOT fond of blue jeans shirts (I used them myself, though - AGES ago... ). Except from the shirt, I dont have complaints...

Well I thought you meant epic "Pastora style" I agree with you, they can be epic (therefore  is! xheart)

Actually, I wouldn't call Pastora's songs epic. To me epic song = song with heroic vibes suitable for movies like Gladiator and that kind.

Epic doesn't mean automatically a good or a better song btw, at least not for me. Just especially touching I guess.

If Carl is going to wear something else what should he wear :?

What he wore at MGP pretty much fit his "look" (at least it does to me xshrug) and I really can't imagine him in more formal clothing

I don't know, but I guess something is wrong when people are talking a lot about his clothes. "Silent storm" is not the kind of song people should care about the clothes a lot. About this, the most unnoticed, the better.

Formal clothing certainly not. Silent Storm in a suit would make me cringe!

I think a light coloured shirt would suit him. How about leather pants/jacket with a white shirt?

It happens every year when a song is hyped. Remember all the talk of Emmelie being barefoot?

All I wish is to see him in clothes chosen in a way as honest as his song. His song doesn't need anything fancy. A suit like the Eg A Lif guy wore would look out of place imo.

Nah, I don't remember... To be honest I don't even remember Carl's clothes, but I think something's wrong with the clothes when there are people talking about them.

Maybe that's because some people (like me) cares about the appearance on stage as well as the performance.I don't know it's a good thing or not,but Eurovision is not only about songs,it's also about what will happen on stage.

Just a small observation for those people who don't like his voice. Sony Music signed him up after they heard him singing for only 15 seconds...how many singers has that happened to?

I agree, but I think the clothes don't matter the same for "Silent storm" than "Tricky tricky toc toc toc" or "Dancing in the rain". Viewers shouldn't focus on any other thing here.

They shouldn't care but lets face it they do...its part of human nature to look at those things xshrug

That's why we have the Barbara Dex award and people always take about the fashion disasters

He would look ridiculous in a suit or with gimmicky clothing. There is no need for a dance act or any of that either. It would cheapen the song.
