Between NSC 1 and NSC 100, Yaponesia has sent 93 entries to the Nation Song Contest!
Since our debut in NSC 6, this is the second most in the contest, and each song is as Yaponesian as the next.
So how on Natia are we going to narrow that down to one entry to send to Absolutely Everybody 100?
Here's one way, the good old trusty National Final... with a twist!
We've narrowed our selection down to a final ten songs which stand for Yaponesia's most loved, famous and representative.
Three of these stand out to us personally so they're prequalified to the final. The remaining seven are wildcards.
Your job is to vote for both your favourites and what you think are the most Yaponesian with our voting system:
(i.e. vote as normal but you can't give the finalists 0. If your actual ranking would differ feel free to post that separately.)

Debuting in NSC 6, NSC 105 therefore marks the hundredth edition passed since Yaponesia first participated. With ninety-eight songs sent so far in the extensive history of the Nation Song Contest, Yaponesia will be celebrating this anniversary for the next three editions, culminating with our eventual 100th anniversary entry in NSC 107.
Following the NSC 105 theme of history and lore, our anthemic entry to Rumia does indeed reflect some key features of Yaponesian society, culture and of course, NSC participation. Born under the flag of the sunrise, a people almost as ancient as NSC itself, we are the children of the sun.

Republica - CHRISTIANA OBEY
NSC 106 marks Yaponesia's 99th participation in the Nation Song Contest. Last edition, we celebrated our 100th edition since joining NSC, and 'Children of the Sun' achieved Yaponesia's first ever medal position in 98 attempts at the contest. We eventually came 2nd with 167 points after leading most of the voting, and are incredibly grateful to every nation for points given! Next edition, we will celebrate our 100th entry but in between all that, our 100th anniversary celebrations continue.
Now, NSC 106 gives us a chance to look back into the past, and we have decided to give our NSC 7 representatives a second chance for their 100th anniversary. Republica were the proud act to represent Yaponesia's second entry in the history of NSC, and were also the first to secure a ticket to the final with 'Ready to Go'. This 90s one-hit-wonder band took a hiatus long before NSC itself began, but made a comeback one year ago, just in time to get their latest song in to a guaranteed final place in NSC 106!
So please welcome back to the NSC stage... Republica with 'Christiana Obey'!
