Nah, Ukraine will do very fine. Might even win. It's a very dangerous contender for Russia.

And yes, France and Spain. The first one is too boring and not even his looks can save him from a fiasco. Spain on the other hand is a massive fanwank that will fail to gather votes from the masses. Ireland will probably not qualify and poor Nicky will end up on the bottom anyway. Not a fiasco per se, but Ireland is Ireland.

I expect Hungary and Poland to surprise quite a lot. There's quite a lot of passion there, BUT they will share too many of the same voters to compete with the biggest contenders.

Oh sorry to say but both Hungary and Poland are unbearable, Poland in particular since they not only chose a terrible act, could have been a contender for the win with Margaret. Hopefully Poland will fail to qualify.

I think that given all the hype, and everyone I've heard on the media, and a majority here, insist that it's a done deal, if Russia fail to win, THAT will be the flop of 2016. People seem to be pushing the idea that Sergei is a shoo-in for the title even more strongly than Mans was last year. Personally, I don't buy it. I can't see what everyone seems to be able to see in this mid-80s soft-rock-sounding snore-fest. Eurovision would gain huge kudos musically worldwide if NL, Georgia or Cyprus were to win, but I'm not holding my breath.

But no one really deserves to flop in the final in my opinion. I wish everyone could be winners.
