Very well done to the BBC for your marvelous selection. Those 5 points were delicious and all we wanted. Job well done. Thanks for taking it seriously.

A genuinely sincere, non sarcastic well done to Alex and Bianca who did their best with what they had to work with, and are just incredibly nice people. If this was NicePeopleVision you'd be right at the top. I do feel quite bad for them, but this was always going to happen.

Can I also just say how utterly shocked I am at the three countries we beat. That's kind of a win in itself as Austria's entry is actually really good and no way did they deserve that 0 over us. Also, although i'm not a fan of Germany's song, gosh that performance was incredibly slick. Beating these countries (including France) seems a little unfair really. I wish others were below us instead.

I agree with you, I'm shocked that they were below and how two of them picked up no points.

I called it. Germany's song was so bad, but I'm surprised about Austria.

Hey, hey hey, There is nothing wrong with BBC this year. Everything UK had done was amazing to represent UK at Eurovision. There is something wrong with voters.

That is obviously the answer.

I'm surprisingly upbeat despite our 5 points. I don't know if it's because I had a feeling all along our failure was coming, or that the results were so lopsided or even that we got got two nil pointers.

But really the BBC need to do a massive shake up, up there in BBC eurovision-land, we were all so optimistic with this open submission and it all came crashing down so quickly. I really hope they book their ideas up for next year! but like that will actually happen... We should get the public vote back, I don't believe for one minute that EV would have won with a NF. Not unless everything else was truly atrocious. I actually felt a degree of embarrassment watching our song out there tonight, which is a shame because I should be proud of our own entry, and also because Alex and Bianca were such nice and lovely people.

We did better in the jury than we did in the televote. Only Australian and Maltese public gave us points.

Did Graham Norton (or whoever was talking during the show for Brits) comment the performance, its chances and the results? If so, what did he say?
