Re: UKRAINE 2018
I believe you Don't worry, I couldn't even imagine you'd go for Melovin. And my disappointment from sending Taynna wouldn't be any bigger than your disappointment from Melovin representing us. In fact, I don't even mind Tayanna winning, but I don't like how her team implements this song on stage. This is totally not the worst choice today though.
Using moment, I think I'm finally ready with my ranking. It was hard to judge all songs because final is really exciting. I think all of these entries could go represent weaker ESC countries, but for Ukraine we need something special.
1. MELOVIN Perfect teenage idol with respectable song.
2-4. TAYANNA - catchy in studio and a cringy live. Okayish as representative. Still not thrilled about her winning. This is Ukraine's past, we should move on and left girls behind.
2-4. VILNA - this song is interesting in some way but needs revamp to be more jury-friendly. Currently studio version is barely listenable with generic parts being glaring issue of composition. Plus it looks just like cheaper Emmelie de Forest. Still I won't be devasted if suddenly The Sun falls/Earth stops spinning and this song somehow wins selection
2-4. The Erised - i don't know, I really like this band but SF1 staging and performance overall was not promising enough for me. Still almost won televoting. If Sonya and her band reworks their approach to presenting the song than I can put higher bets on them.
5. KADNAY - please no. These guys should have a song in first place. And last Saturday it became clear they focus on staging, lights, drums, dances etc. but not on song. Despite that there is possibility Kadnay can do fine on ESC and even surprise us like Iveta Mukuchyan.
6. LAUD - he is too young and song is not interesting enough for ESC. But this is really nice try, Vlad should return for next year.
The ranking above represents prospective on how song will do on ESC + my own opinion + different aspects (staging, vocals, look and so on). 2-3-4th positions are pretty close and can be shuffled in any ways. I'm confident about my Winner and Bottom-2 though.
Sorry, it's not happening in a million years. I'll go easy on my shade post though if he wins, just for you and because I love Ukraine
With Tayanna you become my number 1 of the year. You know what to do tonight Italy and Spain need to be overtaken by her hotness in my ranking.
