Re: UKRAINE 2018

I literally have no idea what is going on in this NF season with Ukraine... but if you send that AMAZING girl Tayanna I will be SOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!! So I hope she is in it! "I Love You" was amazing and should have won

Yup she's in, and this time with an actually good entry (I really disliked "I Love You")...

Haven't heard yet... I don't want to spoil myself too much but I must say I'm curious based on what people are saying...

But I want something ethno or uptempo from Ukraine this year though... and yes in Ukrainian! ;)

I will check later ;)

I still wait for Illaria though, I know you dislike her but I have a feeling she'll end up being my fav this year... atleast based on what's been said about her entry... so let's see if it'll turn out that way.

I don't expect much from ILLARIA atm but most of her songs are good, especially if she makes them not just to have fun but for some purpose. Will see what she brings. That entry from last year was weak compared to her repertoire. Still don't understand why she entered with song written by another composer... xthink

Re: UKRAINE 2018

I've actually started to like Lelya, maybe it would be a safe choice for them to qualify for the final once again but won't end up in the left half of the scoreboard in the final. So it's their safe choice imo, their "go big or go home"-act however is MISTO!! I hope Illaria will bring it with some ethnopop banger, does anyone know when she'll release it? Is it that song that everybody's waiting for and the Ukrainian broadcaster is holding on to create buzz?

So many great songs in this selection! Loving "Misto", "Lelya", "Heroes", "Dyva" and "Under the Ladder" the most.

Kadnay's song is still not up? They're really annoying me with their release strategy.

KADNAY's full release

https://soundcloud.com/kadnay/beat-of-the-universe-eurovision-2018

I like it. A bit overproduced and trying to show off "everything" but that's fine. I think if they pull off cool staging and can handle it vocally we should do well with them. Currently they are fan favorite of Ukrainian ESC community. I'm not THAT enthusiastic about the song itself but wouldn't mind to see them representing Ukraine xup At least it's miles better than SuRie and Zibbz

ILLARIA released her song (so unexpectedly )

Definitely an improvement compared to last year but I think this should be fully in Ukrainian.

Re: UKRAINE 2018

Why the English. Why there's no catchy part before last chorus. Nooooo! She can't win with that, can she..

Rest is pure perfection, though!

Re: UKRAINE 2018

There's a lot of things Illaria does right in the Syla, but as a whole it's not as strong as it needs to be to win. It feels like a grower though, but Misto is still miles ahead the rest here.

Re: UKRAINE 2018

English ruins that Illaria's song!

It has such a great moments and elements...but the verses OMG :(

Thus I have to give 6/10...definitely not among my faves to take the trophy in Kiev..

KADNAY is mess.. :?

1. Constantine
2. The Erised
3. The Dillema

BIG GAP

4. Tayanna

Re: UKRAINE 2018

Now she just needs a fierce performance and the rest gonna be history. With right ethnic/folk/ukrainian performance, this is once again top3 material on Eurovision.

Re: UKRAINE 2018

Constantine, LAUD, Melovin, Illaria, VILNA, Tayanna (unless it's gonna be messy vocals), KADNAY (depends of staging) - I certainly don't mind if one of them wins.

I'm ok with the Erised, Pur:pur, Mountain Breeze (depends of the new song).

Overall it's miles better than last year though literally anything would be better than last year

I like English verses of Illaria's song. The song is very Zlata-like. Only the live performances will influence my final opinion.
