Not sure we heard the same song tbh? The verses are more like R&B-Pop but the choruses are clearly ethnic-inspired, maybe it's not done in a "typical way" as we heard in ESC before (which is why this song is such a good candidate because it blends modern music and ethnic elements but in a new fresh way), but the ethnic-elements are clearly there.

And sorry, but there isn't any musical ethnic elements in the chorus... maybe she sings a bit in a ethnic way...but really smal part..
If you hear any musical ethnic element, please tell me the moment in the song..
Tina Karol had some accordion in the song in 2007...Nelly Ciobanu from Moldova had a lot of ethnic elements..but this one not..

Illaria admitted that she sucked last year & she wasn't prepared enough. She hinted that she will come back this year with a different song in Ukrainian and English. Strong, modern, with ethno elements. Opposite to 2017.

I love her but yeah, her song did kinda suck in 2017 and it was beneath her (eventhough it wasn't the worst of the weak bunch in 2017). I'm happy to hear she is not delusional and ready to try again with something more worthy, although I would drop the English, she shines in Ukrainian, English not so much... plus English really doesn't fit her style, completely out of place tbh.

Yeah, the broadcaster and Tayanna confirmed the new uptempo song. I like how our broadcasters started paying attention to the NF's rules. Finally

If that's a song he performed at Russian New Year TV show, I doubt it would be welcome at Vidbir. But he made his choice.

Either way, Navsegda/Forever is no big loss for the Ukrainian NF.
Excited for Tayanna's new song. I like Kvitka, but like I've already said, it wasn't as good as I Love You, so I'm fine with the change.
