It's the first month since I use Spotify in which I have a winner who is neither from Iceland nor from Murica... Congrats, Julie Fowlis, my love! xrose

Now you've got a place not only in my heart but also in whiteshoes hall of fame

Equilibrium, Sabaton and Faun released new albums recently, so that's how they made it into the Top 10. Sabatons album is superb, Equilibrium's album has tops and flops, Faun's album is a little disappointing but still has 2-3 gems (especially the song in which they collaborated with Wardruna).

For Sigur Rós the month was a disaster of nearly historical proportions as they are only 9th in this ranking. Ironically, they failed right in this month when I saw them performing live for the very first (and hopefully not last) time xlove

But well, when I hear music via mobile phone it's mostly Sigur Ros stuff so the list is certainly not really accurate in this regard.

New albums of Fahrenhaidt & Sin Fang, the 1970s stars Brunaliðið, Trúbrot & Vilhjálmur Vilhjálmsson benefited from being part of my last National Final for Worldvision. Wintergatan is probably my biggest discovery of this month. They do some stunning folktronic music, very lovely and melodic.

In total, 9/10 artists changed compared to August, only Sigur Rós stayed in Top 10 and reconquered the 1st place.

Sigur Rós absolutely conquered my ranking this month and once again became my top listened artist in September and kept their place in monthly winners ranking. I suppose Saor didn't have much chance with his long songs considering I listened to so much music this month (record number of scrobbles).
