Couldn't agree more! 
Well, Anouk shouldn't play the smart one. We all know that this was visually a hot mess, but musically this wasn't good either. :? The song was average at best and, despite Trijntje's obvious talent, one can't perform miracles.

Yes, but Anouk giving style lessons is rich irony, given what she has been wearing when it was her on that stage.

Well, Anouk is right. The song wasn't that great, but the presentation on the stage didn't give it justice too.

She was fabulous with her costume on the stage back in 2013. I don't get your point at all.
Anouk has nothing to do with the music, though. She only has the lyrics. There is nothing special about lyrics, however. The point of this horrible act starts with costume, then staging itself and being already quite average song. Without Anouk, the song could be just worse with stupid lyrics I suppose.

OMG if she wrote the lyrics, it's even worse
There's no meaning in "Walk Along" imo. Let's say that after "Birds", she wasn't very inspired, so she liked the idea of repeating "baby" and "why" like a million times. I'm criticizing her because 1) she gave us a wonderful entry in 2013, so it's a disappointing effort coming from her, and 2) she was partly involved in the writing process of "Walk Along", so she's partly responsible for this weak entry. Of course, the clothes and staging were wrong, but stating that those were the only things to blame is not right, the song itself played a major role in their failure.
