Oh dear. Everything about this entry just reeks amateurism. The show, expression, vocals, song. He's the kind of singer I would absolutely not invite to my musical soirées. Everything just exudes a poor and continental atmosphere.
I'm not sure why Belgium chose this singer and this song, to be honest.
Oh, believe me, it was all set up. It was absolutely not about finding a winning song or showing Belgium's musical grandeur at Malmö. If they had a good reason to pick this singer and this song, it would be to avoid a victory, which would be too costly for them. Their justice system is very expensive due to all the clumsy mistakes they make and their crown prince , one of the black sheeps of Europe's royal families, requires high financial maintainance.
The singer pronounces "Love kills" as "Love keels" and he sings "Waiting for the bieter peel". It's so cute when a non-native does his best to speak or sing proper English.
Oh Liz, please. This effort by a continental person to sing in decent English is just hopeless. And I don't know what to say about the song. Oh, now I know. It's hopeless as well. It's a hopeless attempt at trying to win voters that usually vote for pleasant pop songs. But this one is just horribly amateurish. Not a single point from us.
