I wouldn't call it "really bad" on YouTube. Pretty average compared with the other entries, except the runaways. Furthermore, it clearly isn't an obvious connection between probable results and number of YT views. Moldavia and Cyprus for example. There seems to be an eastern/southern Europe preference for YouTube as well as the demographic issues. Spotify isn't easy to draw conclusions from, but Cyprus is doing well.

We talked about this yesterday and you can not base the televoting only on YT views, some countries always has more views no matter what.
Look at Russia for example they have so much more views than any other in semi 2, did they won the televote in semi 2? doubt it.
Much views dosen´t always mean something good you know.

I´have seen many say that Hungary might have done really well with televote, but Benjamin has more views so...

He might not have won the televote but at least top 3 I think.

If we look at Itunes Benjamin charting 2nd best of all countries, only Cyprus doing better.
And according to Spotify the top 3 will be:

Of course you can not base televotes on this only either, but I do think Benjamin will be at least top 10 with televote and top 5 at the best, then we will see how far it will take him after the juries have voted.

LOL that wouldn't be very smart as there are no prerecorded vocals. He could be letting Greg sing though, but it would be complicated as I think everyone in the has their own vocals todo.

If he manage top 5, it's a victory, but I wouldn't be surprised if he lands at say 8th. So I hope for a top 5. In my opinion, his staging has improved very much, but the song seems suddenly a bit shaky. If I understand it right, they put it all together recently in Lisbon, at least true when it comes to the backing vocals. Why they didn't prepare it in good time beforehand in Sweden is very strange. Testing different vocals and combinations of backing tracks in a familiar studio. It was clear he didn't have a ready solution in the pre-esc shows he entered for example.

I didn't know about it, I thought they practised with the backing vocalists more. To me, it sounds good enough even now, and his backing vocalist on the track was he himself, so to sound exactly the same, maybe he could call Justin Bieber, instead those five people, to achieve same effect, because their voices are exactly the same. As for Youtube views, I really don't think Serbia did better than Benjamin in the televote, and we have much more views than him, but our video is trending #1 in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, even in Germany it was in trend, because of diaspora.

Anders Nunstedt (Expressen) writes he thinks the fans are "snarstuckna" (~crancky, disgruntled, touchy, quick to take offence) and that he admires Benjamin who managed to act professionally and confident yet with calm kindness throughtout the Eurovision weeks. Even despite the Wiwiblogg reaction video which he thinks was unfortunate but in the end rather honest refreshing and even promising for future career beyond ESC. This is only one of many accolades in the Swedish press praising Benjamin's efforts to properly represent Sweden and I agree.
