It is better entry than in 2016 and 2017, and performance is better, but I have feeling that the result won't be maybe that good, because the final is too strong, and there are many pop songs like this one. Maybe really worst Swedish result in years. :( And even after semi-final, people are more impressed with Denmark, Ukraine, Slovenia, Moldova from 2nd semi..

Why would they base running orders out of Youtube views? It isn't supposed to favour the more likely songs to win, the purpose of it is to create a good musical flow and variety throughout the show

Because it's obvious that he didn't do that well with the televote and probably didn't win it. Heck, he's behind Jessica. Let's not be naive, I don't believe for a second that it's by chance that Bulgaria, Israel and Cyprus got pimp spots. Robin was 3rd in his semi and got #24 in the Grand Final. Sunstroke Project were 2nd and received #7. Yeah, no, not at all blatantly obvious...

You know Christer Björkman is not alone in deciding the running order? It has to be approved and you bet everyone is on super alert to avoid any favouritism. Besides I never understood how people can read in so much magic in these positions. Using statistics and speculate around it is maybe fun, but hardly absolute science. Benjamin will not win, no one really expects him to. We all knew it in February, in the last deltävling, we will not win this year.

I don't get the hate. Since Sweden's been consistently top 3 in their semi-finals the last couple of years, why shouldn't they get a good draw in the running order like...?

And Moldova still came 3rd with televote last year, and Robin 8th, so position doesn't matter. :) If people like the song, thet will notice it from any position. :) Are people real with conspiracy theories, like seriously just...

Considering Australia has about 2,5 times bigger population than Sweden, I'm not suprised. Benjamin's performance has been out on youtube for two months and most of the fans have already watched his performance in Melfest, so there's no need for them to watch it again. It's a big share of the views that come from fans and the performances that are completely new get more clicks obviously. So therefore youtube views are quite tricky to analyze, but I get your point, and I agree that he probably didn't win the telvote. However that doesn't mean he will do bad in final, I still think he has a shot making the top 10 with the televotes :)

And considering Ukraine has population of 45 milions, and most views on Ukrainian video come from Melovin's fangirs from Ukraine. :D I agree with the rest you've said.

Mathematically and statistically, that is impossible to the point where it's almost ridiculous.

Oh please stop...

You can not base any predictions whatsoever of televotes based on YT views...
In that case Russia won the televote in semi 2..

Also as other have said you need to have in mind the population of the countries that compete, logically people want to se their countrys performance...
Benjamin has over 200tn views right now, Austraila has a few more views and the so called "sensation" Hungary also don´t have that many more views.

If you look at Itunes chart he is top 5 of all countries, altough at this moment there is no country that dominating the charts (Cyprus doing quite well ofc).

I think Benjamin was 1-3 with televote and 1-2 with juries, so the overall result was probably 1st or 2nd.

In the final anything can happen since this year is so open, I won´t rule out anything, but at least top 5 or top 10.

I guess Cyprus being 1st and Israel being 2nd in terms of views from semi-final 1 means nothing  I agree that the result was probably something like that though.

Yeah well Cyprus and Israel are the two biggest favorites right now so it might mean something for sure or it might not.

My point was that you can´t make that conclusions only based on YT views.

I didn't. I said "probably" in terms of "probability". The likelyhood that we won the televote in this semi minimizes. Similar to odds, spotify streams, running order and iTunes, it is an indicator. Not something to blindly follow. I even stated that in the Austrian thread. The probability that the majority of those views are from Australia and Ukraine are incredibly low when you take in all the ad revenue in all of the countries. It is mathematically impossible.

Was it just me that noticed all of the camera angles being crooked? I mean the ones straight from the front and from above? Probably didn't affect anything but it kind of bugged me...

Comment on the semi 2 video
The finish was great. He missed the beat a little in the beginning but nothing serious. The verse at 1:10 was strange and I remember I reacted on that last night. Most important he tries to reach out to the audiance which I think is a huge improvement. I think he will reach top 5 for sure. I have no idea how you guys can guess anything about the jury votes, but I see no reason why he isn't top 5 in both the tele vote and jury vote.

He doesn't have too much views on Youtube, even outsiders like Slovenia, Moldova, Australia have more. I know it isn't important so much, but I am not sure... :)

OK I understand
What matters in Sweden is
https://spotifycharts.com/regional/se/daily/latest
Cyprus is there already, as is the Czechs, Margaret and Benjamin. Slovenia will soon be there as well
Cyprus will be our televote 12 p for sure
