No offense to our lovely Spanish forums members but dunno, haven't Spanish Eurofans been saying that Spain would be finishing Top 5 minimum for two decades now?

How on earth can Esa Diva - an utterly dated and very Eurovision-esque Schlagerish G:son song - come close to remotely sound like a song Billie Eilish would even consider to record?

I mean, I would absolutely love such an unexpected and shocking love to completely overhaul the song but I don't expect this to happen, tbh.

Top 5 material 😂😂😂 I think they will have to work really hard to avoid this entry not to be bottom 5. The better this does in May, the worse for future changes in the upcoming editions of Benidorm Fest.

I’ve been a Eurofan since 2000. Now, at 36, my first Eurovision memories are from Spain’s golden years: David Civera (2001), Rosa (2002), and Beth (2003). Those were modern hits that topped the charts. But after that era ended, Spain’s musical performance started declining, with very few exceptions—something we’re still stuck in today.

It’s frustrating that a country with such a rich musical culture is reduced to reggaeton, trap, or mainstream pop. Spain has many regional languages with incredible music that deserves a chance in Eurovision. But we tend to sabotage ourselves—just look at Tanxugueiras’ controversy in Benidorm Fest, which surely discouraged other artists.

This year, the selection got out of control. The process isn’t working—we shouldn’t pick based on nostalgia or “who deserves it.” It’s about the best song. This Benidorm Fest lacked strong entries, but options like VIP or UNANA might have at least scored three digits—not a total disaster.

The revamp drops at 21:40 today. I’ve never been a big fan of Melody, but she’s our representative, so I’ll support her. Hopefully, it improves.

I am also curious to know if your score in the poll is will change after the new version is released, so feel free to share it with us if you fancy. My initial score was a 5/12, so I really want to upgrade it to 8. Or will it end up to be a 3/12???

Also, for those who think Spain is just party music—check Spotify’s Local Pulse charts. There’s amazing music from Catalonia, the Basque Country, Galicia, and beyond. Spain has so much more to offer.

Good luck Melody. Maybe haters will be less haters after today ✌️

That is the thing. Spain has amazing music but does not translate it well to Benidormfest.
Maybe it is time to bring an influential music producer/expert to the field and take advantage from his/her influence in order to bring more quality material. It worked well with us.
I would love to see Spain winning soon. For real!

What? It’s 7 million times better. This is one of the best revamps I’ve ever heard.

Upgrading from :5: to :10:

The worst devamp since :al: 2016... they've stripped the life and soul out of the song, I'm gutted

It sounds even more amateur and dated.
Maybe the staging and performance can save it from last place.

The campiness is totally gone. Which was actually the only reason why it was tolerable.
The deep bass beats feel out of place to me, it makes the song not spark. Had to get used to the strings at the start compared to the prior version, but feeling this ok now in a build up to the more dance-like nature of the rest of the song.
All in all a downgrade.

Hum…. I really disliked the first version. But this one? It’s like it has no life. The older version was tacky but this one is bland, it has nothing. And it’s still dated. Melody will be on stage with 5 dancers, but will they be dancing to what exactly?

This revamp falls kind of flat for me. I like the orchestral start but when the beat and synths come in, it misses the fun and spark of the original. It feels so much less lively. I don't think it's a total tragedy like what happened with Albania's entry last year (I still haven't recovered), but it's still one of those frustrating rebuilds that takes a decent amount away whilst delivering little new that's actually better.

Was that a joke? Honestly asking because I can't tell
No joke. Could barely listen to it before and now I really like it. I’m not saying that it’s a super high quality revamp, just that it improved my opinion of the song by a lot :)
(Moved from 30th to 15th in my ranking)

Seems to be an unpopular opinion
