I'm really considering not watching OT anymore. It's tragic how teenage girls and trolls are making Cepeda to advance over better artists. Since Big Brother is ruined, they come here to ruin the best talent show ever. Cepeda defeating Mireya and Raoul was unbearable and I don't think I'm able to watch this without Raoul
People are not voting according to artistic and musical reasons and it's a big shame. Raoul has had some of the best performances of the contest and now he's out because of those stupid girls. So unfair
(And I have nothing against Cepeda, but he's not improving, he's just doing the same performance over and over again with no feelings at all)
I'm so afraid people will not vote for the song for ESC, but for the person...
I've just seen that Spain is going to send a song in Spanish. Good, we won't have the "it's my country, I want to be represented in my language" drama. Although I much prefer Spain to send songs in Spanish (would be great some year they give a chance to other of its official languages), I never understood why it was so offensive for some people.
Tbh Spanish is such a beautiful language in music that it should be criminal for Spain to even consider English. I am so looking forward to the song Spain will send, hopefully it wont be a song like Dancing in the rain or that abomination from 2010 that should be burnt with fire. :'D
It's not our fault that our language sounds good in music
I guess 3 of the 5 finalists that will defend a song for Eurovision will be Amaia, Alfred and Aitana. The songs will be selected to fit for the singer, so don't expect anything you like from Alfred, he's a Salvador Sobral 2.0. Perhaps Aitana will be given a more up-tempo song.
I have a lot hate relationship with Spain in eurovision.
Correction: with TVE, as all Eurovision fans in Spain XD we all could do a better work than them
Well when eurofans ovaries were exploding over that Barei song I question that to a certain extent. :'D tbh though, it's quite clear TVE are about as clued up on eurovision as the BBC. We both need our France/Belgium style revolution. Ours would be through the BBC rage quiting and ITV/Channel 4 fighting to the death to take it over. Although knowing our luck, they'd be even worse...
Sorry? I loved Barei's song (in its original version), all the hate was for the language and it was very unfair judging Spain for bringing a song in English when everybody had done it before and didn't receive "punishment" for that. Others said the chorus was too simple but there's no problem with Moldova 2017 chorus which is just an instrument. TVE made a huge mess with the staging, though. They always do.
Well I didn't. 'Say Yay' irritated me to no end, the random pause was pointless as anything and broke the rhythm of the song, the staging looked like it was done by a blind deaf sunday school teacher on crack, and not to mention seeing Spanish eurofans in every corner of ESC chanting Barei. With better lyrics, less 'Say Yay' then it would have been great.
