Re: SPAIN 2018

I have to say Ana and Aitana are starting to bring their A game.Lo Malo is going to add to global warming watching the rehearsals, they are smoking. The sound engineer will have to do a bit of work, but if they get more tight on the staging they are fighting for the win and could be a very good ESC entry.
Aitana is double handed as well with a nice song in Arde that she is starting to get right.
Alfred and Amaia probably have the best chance to unite the different demographics together and they will need to really nail the delivery to show their quality. Both playing the piano might be the way to go here.If they are to win they need to give the whole performance the air of top drawer quality and intimacy.Do that and the public might decide to send the real quality.
Fantastic series and what looks like an amazing final.

I woulnd't mind "Lo Malo" and it's obvious spanish people love it.

No, we don't!

It just got popularity from nowhere after the girls said they didn't feel comfortable with the song. Typical viral trolling that I hope it stays in Twitter!

On Spanish videos on Youtube all I see in the comments is "AITANA FOR EUROVISION", "ARDE FOR EUROVISION". Is she the Spanish fans favorite?

It's difficult to know, but I'd say Almaia has more fans. I always said my favourite was Aitana, but I don't like her song very much :(

The Spanish public might vote for the Triunfo theme song "Camina" and send all five finalists to ESC yet

Re: SPAIN 2018

I think I'll vote for Tu canción. I always thought I don't want Amaia and Alfred to go to Eurovision only for the popularity of their relationship, but because they are the best choice. To me, it's the only combination in which I really like both the song and the singer(s).

Re: SPAIN 2018

I have listened to all 1 min snippets...the first thing i have to say is tahat inteh end this shaped up into one good NF..It offer better stuff than Spain used to send in previous years and had on offer in previous NFs..

I'd like to "destacar" some entries in this phase;

1. Aitana - "Arde" - I thought Amaia will be my clear fave, but iafter i hard all snipet, i have to say "Arde" made the biggest impression on me, it sounds so powerful, at the same time so quality an with "integrity"...
2. Amaia - "Al cantar' - i think this has better emotion listening and watching live than in studio version...so I'm very patient, because this singer is not pure singer, it is performer.. ;)
3. Ana Guerra - "El remedio" - it is not typical shake shake entry, it is uptempo Spanish song with very beautiful and quality music and good vocals..I hope she will perform it very good live..
4. La canción grupal - "Camina" - the best way to show all talents from the OT 2017/2018 is this...this sounds promising..

That's it, for now.. :)

Re: SPAIN 2018

To be honest.
I dont like any songs this year. There is not any uptempo song, only a cheap reggeaton one. And the ballads dont send me any passion/sensation.

I only have to say, good luck to all.

Re: SPAIN 2018

A question to our spanish speakers. Alfred stresses the last syllable of the word "luces" instead of the first one in his song. Does this sound weird to you as native speakers? For me as someone who only learned spanish later, it kinda does... Or is it a different word that I misheard as "luces"?

It's normal that when you sing you don't pronounce the words like you would when speaking, so the lyrics fit perfectly in the verses, it doesn't sound weird to me. Anyway, that change of stress is much more obvious when he pronounces "neveRA" instead of "neVEra" (and there must be more, but hadn't paid attention to this until I read your post  )
