For some reason I can´t vote. When I push the purple box under "Anketa" a long text in Slovenian appears. xshrug

It is the voting terms and conditions.

You might consider trying via another browser. Internet Explorer works fine for me, while Firefox doesn't. I'm not sure why.

I voted for Tilen.
Tbh, it's the best thing I've heard in this Slovene preselection so far. It's not perfect but I can see it being one of my favourite Eurovision entries 2020 IF they come up with a better arrangement. His voice is stunning as well. I would like to see the final product at the live show!

Duel Marko Škof vs Petra Ceglar

Marko Škof: So here's the 10K-follower participant of the competition. For some reason, based on his official picture, I was expecting a trashy europop song a la Tooji and ultimately... it's a ballad. And I must say it's cute, really cute. Maybe the ballad I like the most as of now (I don't count "Sing To Me"), I highly doubt it's aiming at the crown but a lil' national success wouldn't be undeserved imo: the melody is nice, Marko's voice isn't the most beautiful or precise, but it does the job, it sounds sincere. If one takes this effort for what it is, that's actually charming. What about Eurovision? Well, I think we need a stronger song and a more vocally-reliable performer. But do you Marko! That was cute!

Petra Ceglar: Petra's stare and hand in her hair at the beginning of the video are iconic already. I think EscGeek will consider Petra came through: the song is a decent composition, the arrangements may be a few years late (I mean the distorted voices are bit passé now) but it's produced enough to assess the potential of the song. It's rather nice, the beats snap and Petra's voice fits the melody. I'm a bit skeptical regarding the chorus, which isn't the strongest imo and it could have done without the "oh-oh". Lyrically, bonus points for referencing Raiven's "Zažarim" We love that, thanks girl! Overall, I guess it's a decent package based on the snippet, and one that would fit an EMA line-up for sure. Do I want more than a regular pop song for Slovenia? Yes, I do. But some duels have been so weak that it's difficult to turn my back on an entry that has a bit more potential than others.

Honestly, I'm torn on that one because neither of them are bad: my heart prefers Marko's song a bit more but my head knows Petra's more Eurovision-friendly. xthink I guess I should be reasonable, so I'm #teamPetraCeglar today :) Go girl! Even though - to be perfectly honest - I hope RTVSLO has something better than "Srce Naglas" in store.

I voted! Sorry Marko, you were good too. At least, I cannot be disappointed tonight.

I would sent home both
Marko's got slightly better vocals so I voted for him.
Petra - my first thought was "great, I like her much more, that would be a decent choice"... until I heard the chorus :?

That´s what I also felt about Petra. At first I was more on her side, but the chorus was pretty irritating and she sounded like she was singin behind the melody the whole time. So I picked Marko.

quite an easy decision: #teamPetraCeglar. Marko has a nice voice but the song is a bit boring. Petras song has some potential and I'm very keen to hear the final version. Still Markos song was better than most of the songs I heard so far in the duels. So from my point of view the choices are a bit unbalanced.

Duel Parvani Violet vs Sara Petešič

Parvani Violet: I'm confused. I don't know what to say about "Cupid" except that it sounds like a random cacophonous mess. The genre is hard to determine, it's like a blend of different things that don't make sense put together. I find the singer's voice really annoying, and she seems to be doing high notes just for the sake of it. It's a clear big fat no for me. I have just one question: why?

Sara Petešič: Cute lil' pop-rock song with a clear melody and decent vocals. I could imagine it being played on Slovenian radios :D I would like to know what the studio arrangements are like, for they could bring great energy to the composition if done properly. I'm undecided about the song's potential for Eurovision, right now I'd be inclined to say no, yet I look forward to the studio cut.

To me, this duel is a no-brainer, I am #teamSaraPetešič all the way. Parvani Violet has the worst song of the competition so far imo, "Pleši" sounds like Mozart in comparison.

The second week is almost coming to an end and - to be frank - I personally haven't heard a true standout so far. My favourite snippet remains Astrid's.

your analysis of Parvani's song couldn't have been more on point. Exactly my view on this also. Perhaps that's why Sara sounds so good for me. I wonder if it would if it had been in a different duel. Still - clear choice for me.
