The interval acts of EMA FRES - Fed Horses, Lumberjack and Raiven - have had their first rehearsal this Tuesday.

Emaevrovizija is releasing snippets of the acts' rehearsals; only Stella's, Younite's and Alfirev's are out for now, and I must say the vocals sound pretty good. :giggle:

Yeah, I hope so too. :) But you know, sometimes Slovenians like to troll a bit and vote for acts that imho are random as far as Eurovision is concerned. I'll pray for Astrid, but I wouldn't be surprised if the likes of Stella, Saška or Satanic Violet received more votes. Of course I don't imply those acts aren't worthy of support, but I highly doubt any of them would be clever choices for Eurovision.

The juries will save Astrid if need be anyway, there is no way she'll be left behind. As you said, the producers gave her the pimp slot, which in itself is a sign of support.

But I'll remain optimistic until the end, people will see the light. Astrid FTW xcheer

There are a lot of calculations there, but I believe more in public than jury in Astrid's case. Sometimes, jure likes to go safe. But as I said, Slovenia got balls to send that type of song.
@tuorem are we be the first ones who recognized this masterpiece? :D

And I think people will hear very soon about her 😊

There is a problem. One is being picked by the jurors and one is being picked by tvt. It means there is no cumulative list, there will be two separate lists. So, you can finish second in both columns and get eliminated, which is stupid.

I am afraid that public will root for Marmoris for ex, and juries will give advantage to safe act like Younite. I just hope Astrid won't be out just because stupid voting system. She almost got eliminated in first round from one really weak song.

@choda Thanks for the interview!

I don't mean to criticise your work at all - so please don't take offense :) - but I wished you had asked her more personal questions (her background, her application for EMA FRES, her goals and perspectives, what her current single means to her, etc.). It's nice that you got to chat about EMA and everything but I could tell she was sad to talk about a lineup she wasn't part of. That's the other side of the coin of this duel system.

Good luck to Petra though! I saw her MV days ago and I was impressed by the final product, she really polished the song and worked hard on the visuals. It's promising for such a young artist, I hope "Srce Naglas" will enjoy success.

It's good to know she will try again in the future. Slovenia is full of talents and she sure is the proof of that.

Now with that being said, I can totally see her predictions come true: Parvani Violet is going to be supported, but is it just me or do we all agree that - taste aside - "Cupid" would do as well at Eurovision as "Narodnozabavni Rock"? Anyway, you keep worrying about juries but, unless they mess it up like in 2017, we owe "Hvala, Ne!", "Sebi" and "KAOS" to them, everything should be fine. I'm confident Astrid is a shoe in EMA with them if televoters don't come through tomorrow.

@EscGeek

Did you expect Tamara Todevska to get 12 from Slovenian televoting in 2019?
Also did you expect Serbia to receive 10 from televoting?
I expected from jury, but SLO jury gave her only 2.. :unsure:
It's also very strange to me Albania ddn;t get a singel point from SLO televoting, and so many Albanians live in Slovenia..I haven't seen bakery in Slovenia where owners are Slovenians, only Albanians.. :D

@tuorem, thanks for your suggestions :) it was not a classic interview. We made a deal about topics before, and made a deal to talk mainly about lineup. We will probably have a separate interview soon. She knows that she was eliminated by first favorite, and she believes that she will come to EMA one day. It is realistic, she is ESC fan, and when singer is ESC fan, he dedicates himself to come there.
We had quite unformal talk during the recording + tehnical issues (my mic), so I had to cut a lot really.
We will have more talks with Petra, because she accepted to became our Slovenian consultant. So this was actually not an interview, it was a pre-show.

Our televoting top 2 makes sense to me. The order doesn't matter.
I've been more surprised in the past when we were sucking up to :se: & :dk:
The jury votes nowadays are all over the place. Obviously EBU wants to get rid of the reputation it has. Only jury votes are presented in the old fashioned way after all.
:al: and :sl: rarely exchange points. I guess people living here have more important things to do.. like running the bakery xrofl

Albanian diaspora in general doesn't care much for eurovision. Albania's usual results are NQ or 16-17th place in the final.

Guys, Albanians doesn't have bakeries. People that have bakeries as called Gorans (Goranci), and they doesn't identify themselves with Albanians really. In Serbia also Gorans have bakeries everywhere. And they declare themselves mostly as a nation that is the most in country they live in (ex is Serbia they declare as Serbs, in Slovenia they declare as a Slovenians).

About them, I know they are very, very good people in general :)
