I was truly underwhelmed by the song, better ones from Iceland and Portugal deserved it more.

I'm curious what your criteria are... song quality? hitting at least half of the notes right? pretty golden feet and smoky eyes? fairytale tutus and mantles?

Song quality, I thought their performances were very listenable and the songs had some punch. The Slovenian one kind of bumbles along with the annoying cutesy vocal and doesn't really hit home with anything. The gimmick I guess is the headphones, maybe just leave the headphones on stage in the middle and put the spotlight on them.

I have to say that I don't think last night's performance was their best. I'm overjoyed that they are in the final, but I do think they need to step it up a little bit for tomorrow evening if they want to have a serious chance, which they deserve.

Oh, wolf, I totally agree with you. But I am confident of Marjetka. She proved in EMA that with every performance she was getting better. Also here we may anticipate gradation. Imo, you can expect the best of her, I have no doubt at all.

I guess we currently don't have enough information about it since the first draw decided by the producers is only two years old. France opened the final in 2013, which doesn't say much because we were pre-qualified and we weren't hyped. However, last year they decided to put Ukraine first and if I'm not wrong, they were among the favourites to do well, so if we follow the same logic, Slovenia must have done well during the semi.

Hey, Tuorem, thanks for your reply. Actually you've made a good point. I forgot about the big five which defy my initial logic totally. I assume then that the organizers really only immensely honoured Maraaya by entrusting them with the role of being the opening act of the 60th edition of ESC. Let's see what happens. P.S. I like Mais je suis la, however, since Natacha St Pierre nothing really blew me away from France... And this is pitty, cuz France has great artists.

This is ok, but the performance was a big mess imo ... she really doesn't have to force herself to sound that "way"... she can still sound kinda jazzy/Amy-ish without forcing it. It deserves top. 10 though as far as song goes out of the ones we have in the final now.

Maria-Elena may not have baked turk meat for Maraaya, but after the sweet surprise the slovenian delegation made to her after the first semifinal, the greek team prepared something similar in order to congratulate for their qualification!

Basically, Maraaya still has a chance to take the crown If they were, for instance, second in their semi, this means that they could still win LOL

I love the song, one of my favorites. However, their performance in the semi just looked that much weaker than their EMA performance which was undoubtedly top-notch.
