I've had a longtime fear of Slovenia not cracking the top 10 (despite clearly deserving it)... well, look at that draw. Incredibly cruel. They've thrown this colourful, unique and wonderful entry right under the bus. Serbia would have been a much more fitting opener and I actually think Bojana could have survived well from there, and would have been memorable. Maraaya are going to have a hard time.

I loved the performance tonight. I said to myself before hand that I was only going to vote for my top 4, but I couldn't help but phone up and vote for Sloveniaxheat

Also voted for them and so did everyone at my place, and I'm not sorry. I was a bit disappointed with the performance though as I thought her facial expression wasn't quite there at first and I didn't get all those shots at Raay when he wasn't smiling or wasn't even looking. I felt the performance to be a bit bland and colourless, compared to most of the others, as the former cool vibe didn't quite come through.

I guess they placed them first because she didn't crack top 5 tonight, so it didn't really matter.

I KNEW IT! I basically didnt want to take a look at the running order, because I had the feeling Slovenia would be first. Damn it! Chances are now thrown away and we might see a pretty bad result then :( I am so upset :( Still crossing my fingers!

In my oppinion statrting the show is not bad at all, if you are choosen in first half. Usually all songs that start the show are at the end quite ok at the table. Would be much worse to start somewhere between 3 - 10.

Production team in Vienna: re-think and adjust your camera work for the grand final. :)

This year's camerawork has been unimpressive throughout, but it reached a new low during this performance. It looked like those three people weren't even all on stage together. I was worried for Slovenia, but I think they must have gotten through solely on the catchiness and uniqueness of the song itself, which isn't something most Eurovision acts can say...

Thanks, you nailed it!

This was the best yesterday and I voted for her. Great song, unfortunately now with position 1 in the final. I think, this can be a disadvantage for her, but for me it´s a winning song.

Ok first position is a little unfortunate but is it really that bad? I believe we can still get really good points from the juries to whom the starting order doesn't matter that much (at least it shouldn't). And usually you do remember the first performer and our song is really good ... So don't be so pessimistic.

It's a disadvantage. Speaking for myself that I always need a song or two to switch to a proper listening/watching mood.

But to be fair, the starting position won't be the main reason for a likely place on the wrong half of the scoreboard. Almost every random viever seems to be bothered by some detail (camera, sound, headphones, dress, violinist, marjetka's bobblehead, etc.) or generally feels under impressed (compared to the recorded song) and that's a problem.

Ljubljana 2016, Slovenia should win. I will vote 10 times from Sweden on Slovenia. (If I feel the same during tomorrow night)

The good:
+ everything audible was great. Vocal performance, mix, it was all top notch.
+ it had energy. Good! Very important.
+ I still think the headphones and dress add a positive quirky touch. A feature rather than a bug, as long as the overall look&feel is right.
+ The light play in the background was adequate. Warm colors were fitting. Could have been slightly more rhythmic, but ok.
+ The wind machine worked to good effect.

The bad:
-The overall positive, swingy and inviting feel of the song was not mirrored in the visuals. It was too hectic because:
- the camera works.
- Marjetka's movements and gestures. Too hard at times. Same for facial expressions, sometimes she looked downright aggressive.
- Her make-up looked weird. Dark spots below the eyes? The orange glitter was also not optimal. It reminded me a little bit of Regan in the Exorcist!
- She could smile a little more.
- Lighting on her could also be better.

Overall it was not a disaster, but I feel they missed the entire point of the song. I hoped they would go for something Lena-2.0-like: More refined, more mature, more classy. Something inviting and optimistic that draws the viewer in and makes him feel good. It was there only faintly. And Marjetka is an excellent singer with a fascinating voice, but as a stage performer she could improve a little.

They can still up their game on Saturday. Don't know about camera, but make-up should be easy and movements/facials hopefully too. To hell with the placing. Of course I will vote for them, the song, along with Latvia, is still the best in the field.

I wonder whether the show's producers determine the running order based on the semifinal results or not? Meaning, I wonder if SLovenia's number one position as the opening act is indirectly telling us that Maraaya didn't fare as good as one might think? I am just asking. Does anyone have any relevant information?

In general, I dont think number one is a disadvantage... I think that Slovenia actually got a great position, especially, since it is followed by France that is super slow, in French that not many people in Europe speak any longer... So, I believe that it will have impact... Stay positive. I think that Slovenia is not out of the game - yet :)

I'm at the point where I have absolutely no idea about where Slovenia will end in the final...

I was truly underwhelmed by the song, better ones from Iceland and Portugal deserved it more.

I guess we currently don't have enough information about it since the first draw decided by the producers is only two years old. France opened the final in 2013, which doesn't say much because we were pre-qualified and we weren't hyped. However, last year they decided to put Ukraine first and if I'm not wrong, they were among the favourites to do well, so if we follow the same logic, Slovenia must have done well during the semi. ;)
