well.... every song can. It depends on the staging and live execution if u ask me.
I guess he wants to Point out that the hype around the song has been a bit colder and their odds has drifted a bit. That is normally not a good sign. Still one month to go though

Agreed; every song has something resembling a normal distribution, and every song could, by its own standards, flop or soar.

The biggest complaint I have seen about the Amsterdam performance is it was too static. HOWEVER with the stage looking as it does, I think it does favor performances that are more static, so perhaps it won't be so bad

I think it would. It's not only about the stage, but the song, too. The song is very vivid and needs support by the visuals accordingly. Raay will likely be hidden behind his keyboard and remain static, too, and I don't believe the air violinist will do the trick all alone. Maybe Marjetka could at least sway a little with the music, interact with the violinist etc. So far she was mostly concentrating on the mic and had done little else.The biggest complaint I have seen about the Amsterdam performance is it was too static. I can't explain why it bugs me so much, but they're experienced performers so they know more about it than I do and I'm just gonna have to trust their formula.

It depends also on the running order and juries mood. But yes, the main is performance. If it will be the same cool as the official video Slovenia win this ESC I very hope for this.

I love this song and it's one of my favourites. Also, if there's a country that would really deserve to win after being always underrated that's Slovenia. But I have mixed feelings and I think I wouldn't like Slovenia to win because:
- This would lead us to more radio friendly indie-pop entries for the following years. Unless they would be brilliant like this song, it would be bad for the contest since those songs are usually more boring and less appealing to watch live. We have too much of this, we don't need more.
- We would never hear Slovene again or any authentic particular song from Slovenia and I don't want to lose this, especially to international pop songs like almost everyone else sends

I highly doubt that it would happen to such an extent. Conchita won in 2014 and the only similar song this year is from Greece. We also have a few songs with lyrics about self-empowerment, which aren't in the same genre as "Rise like a Pheonix". The same goes for "Only teardrops", the only similar song last year was from Ireland. I think that most people learned so far that copying a previous winner more often than not causes a failure.
Won't happen. If we haven't decided to go for 100% English songs in 1999, then we won't go for that in the future. We always mess up the staging and the clothes. The only time we got it right in the last decade was in 2007. And so far this seems to have the same problem, especailly since it seems that both of them choose to ignore the criticism.
Also, I can't see my country making it into the top 10 anytme soon, let alone win.
Well, actually I have several reasons to think that. First of all, I think the song is pretty popular among fans, but I'm not sure it will catch the attention of the viewers in general. Too static and repetitive for my taste, still good though. Moreover, Slovenia is not a popular country in ESC if we take the televoting into account. This year can be an exception but if we take a step back to the previous years their results have been pretty bad.
It's also drifting in the betting odds, it's a sign as well.
I think it will struggle to be in the top 10 this year, but we will see...
