Well whether they like it or not, Bratislava is probably going to be overrun by Eurovision fans next May. Cheaper accommodation, common currency, less than 60km to Vienna. Maybe that will push them to come back in 2016, or the EBU will make a special effort to get them back by emphasising the benefits that will come in 2015. It's only May now like, as Kasey Smith put it, "no story's set in stone".

2009 was an amazing dramatic dark ballad imo, I guess it was too hard on the ears for the masses though, sorta like "Suus" (although the latter obviously became rather successful).

I didn't like 2012 at all, but each to their own... "Horehronie" was anything but overrated, I mean it came almost last in its semi? How can that be "overrated"?

And the best thing about the song was that it was sung in Slovak and not in English.

2009 xbow I love it more than any other Slovakian entry (thanks EscGeek). I also find 2010 overrated not by the result but by the fans. I mean without see any of the polls or odds when I saw it on tv I said "This won't qualify". But even if it was high in the odds I can't find something super in this entry... xshrug Without means that I don't like it. I like it a lot but that's it

Damn, I saw this as a perfect oppurtunity for their comeback but screw it. I can't see them coming back anytime soon at this point but you never know.

Well if Czech Republic do return like they are suggesting then I can see Slovakia going back on their decision.

Now it writes that they wont return cause of lack of sponsorship xthink

Interesting, the it is written gives the impression that they would return if they could find one. But tbh it's only July? They still have a few months left, and they can still probably do a Slovenia 2014 and get a massive extension.

Yes but Slovenia hadn't withdraw. But they show some interest so maybe they will come back

Because they have gotten such bad results. It's understandable for the Czech Repulic with two last places in three years including a 0 pointer. Maybe because they don't fit into concrete voting block. (Even though they could form one with Austria, Poland and Hungary). All three of which don't have a ESC record worth writing home about.

But Czech Rep and Slovakia both sent songs that were never going to qualify anyway... and before people bring up Horehronie don't bother because it was overrated shite
