I'm not surprised, Slovakia has been scr*wed over so many times and only got some jury love the one time they sent some Americanized cheese. This will be one of the most underrated ESC countries ever, they have some real 90's ESC gems aswell as the one and only magical "Horehronie" which will forever have a special place in my heart.

None of their performances during their return deserved to qualify 2012 was a good song but ruined live. Horehronie was overrated. TWiiNS were bland and 2009 was wailing.

Yeah it was so-so live (not worse than many others that made it though), but as far as song goes (afterall it IS a song contest) I agree that it's the best ESC entry ever.

2009 was an amazing dramatic dark ballad imo, I guess it was too hard on the ears for the masses though, sorta like "Suus" (although the latter obviously became rather successful).

I didn't like 2012 at all, but each to their own... "Horehronie" was anything but overrated, I mean it came almost last in its semi? How can that be "overrated"?

Well as far as I was before, before the semi finals started it was a favourite in the odds, everyone expected it to qualify and do well.

Well, it would have been awesome if Slovakia won that year. And they should have! But they blew their chance, and I totally get they were losing. It was make or break and they broke.

Looking back, such a win would have been a positive shock for Europe. Germany was a positive shock as well, but Slovakia's victory would have been ever bigger....

I miss Slovakia, please come back!

I think Slovakia just doing really well and getting top 5, or even top 10 would have been shock enough for Europe. They have horrific record, even in the 100% jury years.
