erm i still don't know whether I'll send them to WV or not. If I turned to do so, I'd select one of their most recent songs.

The former Majapahit Empress of Indonesia is embarking on a voyage up north to the great land of Mother Russia in search of new gems, where she will be crowned as the Great Tsarina of All Russia. Originally her 20th WV Anniversary Celebration was due to be held in Indonesia, but due to ongoing revolt there, it has to be relocated in the Imperial Capital of Russia: Saint Petersburg.
Join the future Tsarina (or Grand Duchess?) as she embarks on an Imperial Voyage to a new chapter in her WV history! The LL will commence with a date to be announced. Spasibo!

WV 89: A Taste of Classics NF
Zdravstvuyte and welcome to our first Russian NF!
Our theme for today is A Taste of Classics, where we dig deeper into history for the best Russian classics by the maestros. This is the Imperial way of changing Russian standards for WV: breaking away from the norm of sending mainstream pop and changing the face of Russia in WV. Without further ado, here they are:
1. Sergei Prokofiev - Dance of the Knights
2. Dmitri Shostakovich - Waltz no. 2
3. Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky - Valse Sentimentale
4. Ilya Alekseevich Shatrov - On The Hills Of Manchuria

Wooooah, that video has reminded me just why you're one of my very top favourite players. You're so consistent when it comes to providing wonderful lil' treasures from areas not enough explored at this contest. From the very moment you joined with that enchanting Debbie Scerri song, I had a feeling you'd be a player i'd grow very fond of. I've heard the songs from your video multiple times because every single one has been at least shortlisted by me at the contest. I find your taste extremely charming and likeable, and it comes off to me that you always play with your heart which is the thing I respect most. Thank you for all these gems
I believe I rated your entries fairly recently so won't do so again now. Asin still hold the title of being my fave. The Camerawalls still up there too, now joined by your forever golden winner, Bonnie Tyler. You and Robert slayed hard with the Welsh icon. Gosh, I don't know how you managed to rate your own entries, Eulaliya. I've tried in the past ranking my own and I always end up collapsing from the stress. As I believe ShoeFlo once said, ranking your own WorldVision entries is like ranking your children.
Good luck with Russia. I'll be back soon and ready to see what you've got to offer us.

That pretty much sums up my reaction while reading your post. You're one of the few supporters whom I'm starting to look upon as a friend. I'm beginning to miss your colourful musings since your break began, but I patiently wait for your return for it's worth it.
From now on I have learned that anytime a gem of mine flops at the contest (whether it's a close push or a low bar), it's not the end of the world. It's a part of the circle of adventure that goes on and on that is WorldVision...

I imagine it must be hard to be miss out quite a lot of the time. When I look at some of my very most favourite players here, the one's who I the majority of the time find myself enjoying their entries, people like you, Calvin, Zobo, the sadly no longer with us here Tinchey... you all send songs that I think are special and singular.
I want to try and play the game more like you and some others here do. You've sent quite a nice chunk of groovy psych rock and indie tracks for instance, stuff I have genuine interest in, but then I have seldom been brave enough to enter such songs to this contest myself (I only went super loopy a couple of times with Ariel Pink and Part Time, when I could be doing it all the time). I don't want to say you play in a carefree way, because I think it's obvious that you do care very much, and it can sting to miss out on finals, but I think you choose your entries in what feels like such a free way. It always feels like to me that you're sharing whatever your heart desires, and WorldVision would be a much less interesting place if there weren't players like you who give us unusual slices of their taste. Inspired by that, I want to be less meticulous this next year.
I think the most important thing is to send entries that you can look back and feel proud of, and I believe you're achieving that. Congratulations again on your first 20 entries
