ooooh this is MUCH better than flame is burning. i mean anything would be because that song was a garbage fire recorded in 4 minutes in the same can they record the moldovan NF, but this one is actually an acceptable song on its own merits.
it's clear that yulia still can't sustain a song in english though. she is not safe for qualification.

The magical composition and emotion is fantastic! But surprisingly it's not as AMAZING as "Flame is burning"..that one was smth EXTRAORDINARY, IMPOSSIBLE TO DESCRIBE..

This one doesn't destroy me of emotions like "Flame is burning' did to me on the first listen..
Still it's WONDERFUL...the video is fantastic...it seems she will need backing for the chorus..
I think will be my number 2, after MESMERIZING Israel..

You didn't understand, I didn't mean the contest will be in Russia, if you read the full comment you'd get that this is entry is bad and I will not comment on it further and hope Russia will step up their game in 2019 because I can't care for this one

I will stop looking at the betting odds from now on. To be honest, I'm completely tired with the attitude of bookies, which constantly downgrades the Russian entry as it went on to be part of their life habits.

I wasn't sure if I was hoping for something I liked from Russia, but I was surely expecting something I really cared about one way or the other.
6 points because her performance is almost noteworthy in a good way. But I think I'm going to reevaluate my criteria once we have everything. It feels like a lot of countries took inspiration from Switzerland rather than anything that did well last year (except Bulgaria xshifty). There are so many songs this year that I just kind of shrug off, and I've found myself a lot more despondent to see something I'm indifferent towards than something I actively dislike. My ratings should reflect that, not what I do and do not perceive to have "quality."

Finally. This is ok song, reminds me about something from this or past years though ... And a bit problematic to listen because of her English. Better be sung in Russian but I guess won't ever send non-English entry.
"I won't break" will do quite well on ESC especially that it's Russia. I think Top-10 is guaranteed and the rest depends on live performance.

This year the russian Diaspora who see their Country as a victim of Politics although being the biggest Profiteer of Politics can prove how unpolitically this Tournament really is, by voting for the best Song (which is definitely not IWB) and not for their Favourite Country.

So, after having read a few of reactions, I wish to say the following.
Russia is again in to win the game. The song is beautiful, melody is memorable, it has that dramatic structure with confessional touch that carries the message of optimism, hope, and overcoming one's limitations, be bodily or in our heads. Despite her disadvantages, Yulia delivers it vocally and though her pronounciation is strained due to her medical condition, I think that she is still understandable enough. I am really impressed that this little woman is ready to face ESC fandom and Europe that are very negatively disposed towards her and her homeland. I can say I have nothing but respect for her. The only fault I can find is in the video clip - that final scene of her as mountain top and waterfall is somewhat strange and ... off? In any case, I am sure she will reach finals and probably score top 15. At the same time, Russia is my 3rd favorite this year - after Greece and France. Now, I am waiting only for Bulgaria.
Btw, does not Yulia look skinier than last year? Is she okey? I am actually worried that her health condition has worsen since the last year. I hope I am mistaken...
