The best from their 2012 NF was the Russian sister of Svetlana Loboda... Olga Makovetskaya At first, I enjoyed it from an ironic point of view, but then it became such a jam. It grew on me over time. The whole thing was unashamedly cheap yet addictive.

that NF was a blast though, even if most of the songs were meh... but they had fantastic faux-Victorian era postcards. I remember "High Up" was my fave, "Back to Her Future" was typical pop mehfest that was bound to finish high in the NF and that I missed the last act because I was called out to bed and the night was steering into blatant lateness. And that I found Babushkis odd.

also there was this Kazakh or Siberian kiddo who nearly placed last and wore a seagreen vest I think... also who can forget Farinelli Balls?

+ I even ended up remembering I knew what "sto minut lyubvi" meant! And I barely even understand any Russian, let alone speak it as much! ('100 Minut' was an entry there, and yes, in Russian)
