"Why don't you sing a LGBT song to change the views in your country?" or something like that

I hope the idiot was kicked out for good!

eehh.... why? there's something called freedom of expression and everyone has the right to ask whatever they want if they do it with respect. Hard moments like this is something that goes with her salary ;)

Was she booed on the arena or were the cheers we heard in the broadcast what actually happened? I really hope it was, Polina definitely didn't deserve a single boo!
There is an anti-booing system this year, so there might have been more booing than we could actually hear actually. If you listen carefully to her performance you can hear some background noises that don't sound like booing nor like they're part of the song - so that might have been the system working its magic. Anyways, I think Polina had a better reception than the Tolmacheyevicheyova twins from last year because her song is simply better. When they announced Russia qualified I don't think the system worked, and you could hear the crowd roaring actually.

Anyway, this was great, but I don't see why this is suddenly a favourite to win now. This will be top-5 for sure (we all knew that), but I wouldn't bet a cent on a Russian victory. Wouldn't be deserved anyway.

There was no booing going on today. Fortunately during the pre-show, the guys onstage continuously reiterated the fact that booing is NOT okay so most people played along.

I like the song but I don't love it. Polina is a fantastic singer and it looks beautiful on camera. I don't know if this is a winner though. It reminds me too much of "What if" from 2013. It'll score high but there is something missing here. It doesn't have the IT factor.

Oh that was really bad!

She was booed from what I heard on TV but not from many. Such a shame for the artists who clearly don't share the same views as Putin.

What was her answer to that question? Does she not sing about gay rights because she would be thrown in jail if she did or because she doesn't support gay rights in the first place?
Whatever she said, I'm sure all those lovely people that support this song think it's the perfect answer and Russia would be the perfect host next year.

That was a great performance. I think she was a bit nervous though, right? But at least she didn't let that affect her vocals. She deserved to go the finals. Will she win? Well, we'll see.

The gay question was made by one fanboy from :tr: (see the minute 2:04)

I'm not surprised she avoided the question as good as possible. That was to be expected. I don't know about her private opinion but openly supporting LGBT rights would certainly mean big problems for her at home.

I'm surprised the audience seems to be hyping her so much, though. Was that just the Russian fan corner or was the cheering all over the place?

Russia, Russia, Russia... blah, blah, blah... I still don't get the hype. The song is boring. Why is Russia better than Albania for example?.

Russia is a hot favourite together with Sweden and Italy. If Russia wins then Azerbaijani OGAE will be the only one to predict the winner correctly.

She seems to get quite emotional. It obviously sounds like one of the favourites, though maybe it would better if something else won rather than another big sounding ballad.

Well the Albanian one sounded too loose to me, I preferred the first song they chose really.

About the question from the "journalist" - You can always rely on the Turks to ruin a good party.

No wonder everybody hates them in the Balkans.

That guy probably thought that he is looking cool in the eyes of the LGBT movement, when in reality he looked ridiculous and his "question" was out of place.
