I usually don't like those "peace and love" songs because, while they are not impossible to do right, most of them are exercises of blandness, and I can't feel any real sincerity or honesty on them.
But, this one is one of the few songs this year I actually liked instantly, after a single listen. Does that make it more honest? No, it is still phony and unsincere, but there are some factors that put the balance on the positive side: first, a powerful voice performance. This girl can sing!
Second: I like the way it builds. It never gets boring, just moves from "quiet" to "powerful" and by the final chorus...this is something it really catches the atention.
I can't believe this, but...10/12. I truly liked it, and...I won't be ruling out a Russian victory.
