I would have just adored if Russia had opted to send something in the style of Polina's last english song, Day. I think it's beautiful, melodic and moody and feel Russia can still be conservative and steer themselves away from sending ballads on peace and world love.

I just feel like it's a bit of a waste considering the talent they're lucky to get on board each year. I do enjoy Polina's work full stop, and think she's a great performer with real personality about her stage persona so I know she'll do a great job on it. I just hope the audience don't boo because it doesn't matter if it's for the country and not the performers, it's disrespectful to do that at a family friendly musical event.
